Stupid Love would be one of the better songs on Chromatica

Sure, but people don’t think they should’ve been the leads, and that’s how people are feeling about Stupid Love. Seems like people are reacting to SL the same way a lot of them reacted to BTW, Applause and PI.
 

You even went against your own argument when you said PI wasn’t considered the best, but the two songs released after it were. If PI was the first song released and not the best, how can you say SL will be the best? What if the second single is way better?

That is a lie and I feel you think that to justify why it underperformed. ARTPOP was basically The Fame with more edm beats.

I said Perfect Illusion was the exception because it didn't reflect the album. But Million Reasons and A-Yo was and they were released before the album. I also said any promo singles or second single would be considered the best on Chromatica too.

Just Dance and Born This Way were both certainly NOT The Fame or BTW (album)'s best songs lol. I actually think she usually releases some of her weaker songs as leads (other than Bad Romance and Applause imo which were perfect lead singles but even they can be debated as not being the best from their respective albums). 

I personally highly dislike Stupid Larva and I hope there's much better osngs. In fact I know there are much better songs because truly SL to me is like one of her worst songs so it is impossible for it to be one of the better songs on the album. I'm expecting maybe just like one song to be less good than it from the album lol. 

but this is just my opinion of course. I respect yours. I just really hope this does not happen because it would mean I'd HATE Chromatica and I don't want that to happen like at all  I'm so hyped for this album and I want it to live up to my hype! (i know it will)

Venus wasn't radio friendly AT ALL lol but 3 songs on an album is not a lot you know

Honnestly the obvious choices were DWUW, Gypsy and Dope (piano ballads were the trend back in the day, and the song is the most acclaimed track from the album). Literally no one can relate to Applause. It would have never worked if Gaga's name wasn't attached to it

Everyone likes Venus and Do What You Want over Mary Jane Holland. 

And you heard none of those songs off Chromatica to come up with that conclusion.

The Edge of Glory is arguably the best song on BTW. 

Also, your picks for AP and Joanne are debatable lol (especially John Wayne) 

Annnnd also, Rain On Me is even more "basic" than Stupid Love (at least from the leaks). But Psysical is super basic and the fanbases loves it so..

I don't justify anything, even if Bad Romance was released in 2013, it would have underperformed. Gaga's biggest enemy was her own name. 

ARTPOP was not radio friendly imo (with a few exceptions). I personally can't imagine half of the songs being played on the radio in 2013/2014 (except if they were chosen to be the lead of course)

It's mostly wishful thinking you have the hype for it. If a snippet came out for Stupid Love before you heard the song you would love it the same way too.
