It looks like her label was scared they couldn't get the big numbers they wanted for the first week and are only pressured to release it now because they're afraid it'll leak. And I feel like they don't have faith that she'll slowly increase her sales throughout the year and are relying a big first week bump to make a profit. Get over it. I think she should release a brand new album next year. So many events postponed to the next year and there is no point to promote Chromatica after one year of its initial release. No she won't release another one next year and we all know that. She's not Ariana. She really pours her heart into making an album and what takes her ages is to figure out what direction she's going for. I don't think we'll get any album for the next 3 years at least (unless it's c3c) and that's why I was wishing for Chromatica to be delayed until October-November at least. RRR 3,996
It was a reasonable decision given that everyone thought they were gonna die. But didn't she know we would have rather been listening to her bops on death's bed instead of listening to nothing Her entire promotional schedule had to be scrapped so she probably just thought the easiest thing to do would be to regroup. I mean, imagine if you had a major project due at the end of the week and on Wednesday somebody took your project and drove over it in their car. You would probably ask for an extension for your project.

Daylight Jokers 14,958
She already helped with the Together at Home concert. She's done her part. Hadn't she delayed the album, she wouldn't have raised 127 million dollars to help fund PPEs for frontliners. You make it sound like she just sat there in her home the entire month doing nothing after delaying her album.

Postponing it for a month seemed really pointless to me. "But she was doing philanthropy work for Covid-19" but would releasing a new album really have gotten in the way of that? "She didn't have time to do the promo she wanted to" there's only three weeks until it comes out, I fail to see what kind of promo she can do now that she couldn't do leading up till April. What difference did one month really make? God and her only know

fishinmyhair 524
I just think it's because no one knows what's going on. Sure, in hindsight they could have done something differently (as with any era), but you can't know that going into a pandemic lol

My best guess is that an LP could come out in the next year and a half to two if we want another album so soon. Then again, we really shouldn't be discussing another album/lp when this one hasn't been released yet. It really bugs me how many people are thirsty for LG7 when LG6 hasn't been released yet. Magui 2,628
I think we Are doing much better now Some stores already opened this monday. Gradualy until the end of the month more and bigger stores will open too. And overall people are more optimistic, at least that's what I'm noticing around me. And when we see the news the numbers are better. So slowly I think it's getting better, definitely we aren't at the worst moment. Idk about USA, but if we take Europe has an example, things will get better not worse, as we progress through the month. ARTPOPSYCHOLOGY 6,270
4/10 was literally the statistical peak of the virus in her home state of NYC, so i totally understand why she decided to hold off and focus her efforts on One World. Also, streaming is starting to go up again as more mainstream artists are releasing songs again, i.e. Beyonce, Nicki, Katy, Drake, etc. So its more "normalized" to release music now and more people be aware of it. Also, things in the US are actually getting better. We're nowhere near some other countries but the curve has flattened in almost every state. Our biggest fear right now is the idiots who are taking advantage of the nice weather and not listening to social distancing. I wish some people will like, idk, look at a graph or something. Threads like these are literally pointless. We have a new f***** Lady Gaga album coming in 21-days, can't we just be happy?
