Yea, you can say that, but who's listening?? Is it really good timing?? Tell me quickly, cos Stupid Love is not found on Today Top Hits playlist on Spotify anymore. Which is an impactful and popular playlist for the most played songs currently. You can have a song with all kinds of positive message, but what's the use of it if the people won't hear it, hence missing the message? Not me ending that post with a point disregarding chart position, and you respond with a post referencing chart position. I don't disagree with the logic behind your commentary, but I personally enjoy the symbolism. I am not a Stupid Love stan by any means, which is why my OP had no mention of it. Gaga seems to always deliver a positive message that reflects the current state of the world, and ironically it happened again here. Art is subjective and that is my interpretation. In regards to the promotional point where nobody is hearing it - that is not necessarily true, and that would bring about a different conceptual topic that I am not interested in. You asked, "What's the use if people don't hear it?" Unfortunately we get tied down with needing validation from the GP, and even when validation is given, we need INDISPUTABLE PROOF that the GP is interested. What a shame. What I am interested in is her artistic endeavor, and the delivery of Stupid Love was symbolic and representative of the time it was released, as well as what happened immediately after with the pandemic. I also will not whine and complain about a pandemic interrupting her promotional schedule. I enjoy her artistry. My OP is about whether the delay is good promotion for the album itself to build anticipation, from a marketing standpoint. The answer could be yes and the answer could be no. This era could be some proof into whether she can drop an album and do VERY limited, online, promo. Agreed, I very much think it's possible and at this point, really the only scenario. It's a wait and see if she can do it, but I think she can pull it off.

Like Gaga has solidified her career and I really don't think she needs all the promo in the world at all. Sis can do a few insta posts, a IG live possibly a live-streamed show from home when lockdowns are eased.
