honestly she doesn't have one yet, even TFM is not cohesive at all

actually I think that's the major reason why she never had a +80 album.

you're on to something and imma bout to invest more on this observation :oprah:

It's interesting cause Joanne was both simultaneously very cohesive, but also not cohesive at all.

That said, promo wise, Joanne was very cohesive. Everything very much felt like it belonged in that era.

yes! the right words when I was thinking bout Joanne's cohesiveness

The thing about Gaga’s music isn’t only that she doesn’t have many cohesive albums, but the songs themselves, especially from Born This Way and onwards are like 3-5 songs in one. The bridge, the chorus, the intro, the verses, they’re too different from each other for the song itself to feel cohesive, not to mention the word salad of a lyrics that she writes sometimes that is made to sound deep but is in fact, a salad of words that take themselves too seriously.

I voted BTW, but ARTPOP flows it it's own way that from track to track it carries a message... it's a shame most people dont give it credit for at least that

ARTPOP doesn't have a good flow. It starts out fine as Aura as the opener, then Venus-Guy-Sexxx Dreams. Then it takes another turn with Jewels and Drugs and Manicure. Then it continues the flow again with Do What You Want and ARTPOP. Then she loses me on Swine. Donatella and Fashion are just... there. And then the flow continues with Mary Jane Holland-Dope-Gypsy. It would have ended fine with Gypsy as the closure but for some reason she needed an Applause at the end.

Like the first few songs on the album have this sonic flow. Then it gets more upbeat and loud. DWYW has this smooth production like Guy and Sexxx Dreams that continues with ARTPOP. But then Swine sounds abrasive. Then there's a fashion theme for two songs and then a drug theme and a farewell song.

If the album was trimmed down there would be a more even flow. There's just songs in the middle that sound out of place, the track list could be arranged better. It's her most random sounding album and the production doesn't sound cohesive.

The Fame Monster, once the theme was very clear, the songs so well produced, the lyrics iconic as well as the aesthetics.

It opened the way to Born This Way, which for me is #2 in this perspective.

Wasn't for Teeth, it would have been The Fame Monster

so it is definitely Born This Way. The awesome thing is that despite cohesiveness it displays so much variety and so many different influences too.

Joanne had the most easy concept in terms of aiming to cohesiveness, but it really was not. Especially when Joanne (song) ends, and John Wayne starts:triggered: :what: exactly!

Trust me I don’t intend to drag. I love Gaga and Madonna. I don’t play with feuds and all and I’m no huge fan of Madonna’s recent decisions either. 😭
