while I'm not so sure if this topic has already been posted before, I'd still like to know...

what do you k worded p*nks think is gaga's most cohesive studio album that she has released?

I have an album in mind and want to see if some of you, if not the majority, are thinking the same.

Be it from promo, theme and concept of the album era, live performances, memes and other things involved, you can give some examples while we're discussing.

Born This Way is very diverse but I always felt it was a complete universe of its own.

Born This Way was the most cohesive I think.

The Fame Monster was also cohesive but Born This Way was cohesive enough to become a cultural movement.

The most cohesive by far was TFM. I know that it's an EP, but it was phenomenal. The album had a clear theme which was different "fame monsters." The performances were iconic as were all of her looks that era in part mostly by the late Alexander McQueen. All of the promo was also just so perfect, and it was the height of her twitter reign.

For actual album though, I would probably say Joanne. It may not be her most popular and definitely doesn't have the most hits compared to her other albums, but it definitely was an extremely put together era, and all of the songs on the album are very cohesive. But tbh all of Gaga's albums are always pretty thought out and most songs are on theme with the rest of the album. She's a very big picture artist that also makes sure to focus on the tiny details at the same time.

I will forever argue Born This Way is her most cohesive, and she has yet to top it. She was the most popular female artist in 2011. She had everything - the promo, music, fans, outfits. It makes me even more upset about Chromatica, because it could've been the second coming of Born This Way era-wise.

Yikes, they’re all pretty cohesive, but it would have to be TFM. That album and era were just so perfectly cohesive. Everything, every single thing she did during that cycle was in perfect harmony with the message of the album. I hope with Chromatica she serves in this same manner, or better.

ARTPOP:ladyhaha:

I'd actually say Joanne or The Fame Monster.

Edit: Ranking (most to least)

1. Joanne

2. Fame Monster

3. BTW

4. The Fame

5. ARTPOP

The Fame. Every single song fit that album perfectly. It told the different sides to fame, how that effected love, how she wanted to he viewed in fame... etc. Partner this with the EP, The Fame Monster which delves into the darker sides of fame, is a match made in heaven.

Born This Way got messy.

Joanne was cohesive and portrayed the message fine... but then we have songs like Dancin' In Circles, Just Another Day and John Wayne that don't really fit the album conceptually.

ARTPOP was cohesive to an extent, but the message of ARTPOP kind of got lost and not many people got it. There's only one song that doesn't fit the album sonically, and thats Dope.

Chromatica... I feel like this will be her most cohesive album yet. The way we have 3 Chromatica (assumed to be interludes) to break up the story into 3 parts is genius. :tony:

So to sum up, I'd say The Fame coupled with The Fame Monster... but don't count out Chromatica :vegas:

Joanne.

It's interesting cause Joanne was both simultaneously very cohesive, but also not cohesive at all.

Like, if you look at the songs individually, you'd most likely never tell that they're all part of the same album. Sure, some are similar in genre, but even then they sound very different. If you were just given a bunch of Gaga songs and didn't know which belonged to which album, you wouldn't necessarily pair Dancin' In Circles with Hey Girl with Perfect Illusion.

That said, promo wise, Joanne was very cohesive. Everything very much felt like it belonged in that era.
