The ultimate battle of the Sims franchise. Which one takes the crown? Things to consider:

- Time waiting / load screens

- Design possibilities in both CAS and Build/Construction mode

- Playability: the possibilities of creating your own stories. With or without cheat codes

- Most content from the base game

- Editing neighborhoods

- Easiest controls and buttons

My childhood memories belong to The Sims 1. I adore open world in The Sims 3, though this game is not the best when it comes to time waiting. I also love The Sims 4. That's why I want to see something like The Sims 3 x TS4 as The Sims 5.

sims 2 without a doubt

I love it but the loading screens, my god... My parents wouldn't let me play unless I finished my homework, so I spent the time waiting by doing my homework :toofunny:

Yo, if you asked me two weeks ago I'd say it was TS3 but I have been playing TS4 and I'm really digging it, people talked so bad about it that for so long I refused to play it, but it's not bad at all. Maybe it was bad during launch time but the updates they made during the past years made it very good. I can't tell if I like TS3 or TS4 better. Maybe I still like TS3 better cause of the open world but only that.

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Sims 1 for the nostalgia!

I had Sims 2 & 3 but didn't play them much at that time in my life. I've now got back into gaming and have been playing Sims 4 and love it, so that would be 2nd place for me.

What with this forum stanning ARTPOP the way it does I really thought I'd see some horrible results

But Sims 2 reigns supreme :hor:

I do get why people love TS2 so much tho, it had the best things to do gameplay-wise. But the loading screens, Lord have mercy :bradley:

I love TS2. There's so much stuff to do. I love all the CC that is user-made and available as well. The secret black market trade of ripping other people's clothes and hairstyles off IMVU and Second Life and converting them to TS2 format rules as well :laughga: Even though it is BAD and SINFUL. :crossed: (So much more realistic than TS2's creators could have ever dreamed though :flutter: )

The Sims 2 I literally used to spend days on that game. I was so addicted. My families had multiple generations. I had mods with loads of amazing hairstyles, cool outfits and big fancy houses. I also knew all the cheats like motherlode to get 50,000 Simoleans.

I didn't like the direction they went with the following games because it was too cartoony and less true to real life. I liked how the sims in Sims 2 looked more real.

Did anybody else hate Goopy Gilscarbo. I don't know why that guy annoyed me so much.

Also...

Spoiler

"Glarby"

Surely I'm not the only one who always heard them say that word. :ladyhaha:

The Sims 2 by far. The memory system, the storylines of each neighbourhood, how polished and detailed the animations are, the wants and fear system, how unique personalities were... And it was also challenging and had amazing expansion pack with tons of features. Also the NPCs like Ms Crumblebottom, the Social Bunny, the Therapist, burglars, firefighters, police officers... And don't get me started on how every life stage feels unique and fun to play. Teens were rebelious, had acné, ran away from home, etc. You could feel it was a project done with ambition and passion.

The Sims 3 could be number one if it wasn't so poorly optimized. It's offensive how EA had the audacity to release and charge full price for such a broken game.

The Sims 4 is a joke. Sims have no personalities, traits barely affect gameplay, their AI sucks, emotions make all the sims feel the same and the fact that we went from an open world to closed tiny worlds with loading screens it's sad. And I hate how they are dividing features we used to have in EP into game packs and stuff packs.
