She peaked in 2001-03

Obviously.  She started as a SOLO teen star with teen audience and released an album/toured almost every year.  Her era was ...Baby One More Time, Oops I Did it Again, Britney and (her pinnacle) In The Zone.  Her fanbase was naturally going to decline no matter her celebrity.

What was she really going to come back to after this??? (Let's not forget TWO knee injuries in 2004 for a performer whose performances rely on dancing)

What I felt is that if she wasn't going to start her own label by 2004-2005, she should have re-signed a contract that gave her SUBSTANTIAL and THOROUGH control over her image, sound and music.

That blatantly never happened because 2006-early 2008 still happened.  Despite Blackout's best efforts, look what happened in 2007.

Circus might have been a great comeback but she followed it up with Femme Fatale performing, Britney Jean, X Factor and Vegas happened.  (I understand the monetary reasons but it wasn't good mental health wise.

I just hope she lives her best life right now and she should post whatever she wants on Instagram and turn the comments off, if necessary.

Touch Of My Hand is better than Breath On Me

I hate EDM music, so I really did not like Femme Fetal

Work Bitch is her worst song

That video is just a repost of the GIF, that’s why there is no audio. All I know is that the GIF came first, but I don’t know it’s origin or who created it, but I know it’s fairly old. It’s just an absurdly long GIF, and I’m also a fan of Björk, so that’s why I chose it @Skrill

She repeaked in 2008 all the way to 2012 tho. Her comeback with Womanizer is nothing short of legendary, and she had an impressive string of hits with Femme Fatale. I remember those days :lolly:

Blackout is one of the best albums ever, but she barely  involving making the album (limited writting credits as well as producing). Not to mention her vocal delivery is mostly manipulated by her producers. Thus, I often think it’s more an effort of her producers and writers aka Danja and friends.

Please ignore the spelling in username. I am a Beyonce stan afterall.

Also, her albums except blackout are full of fillers. Glory was overhyped by critics, it has only one good song aka DYWCO

I don't remember those days :lolly:  the only things I remember about 2008-12 is Lady Gaga's rise to fame, Katy Perry's rise to fame and Kesha's few hits :lolly:  never heard of Femme Fatale if I'm honest

Wow what a groundbreaking statement that no gay has ever made on a pop forum ever.

Well I mean you can deny it all you want, but she really did have a high worldwide peak and it’s strange that you didn’t notice it back then. Womanizer debuted at #90 or something and the next week it jumped all the way to #1. Britney was once again everywhere. It was a good time bc we had a Britney, Katy, Gaga, Rihanna, and Kesha on top. 3, Hold it Against Me, Till The World Ends, I Wanna Go were huge hits as well. And then the If U Seek Amy controversy that even got her banned from radios. It really is odd that you’re a stranger to that.

Maybe only in the US? I don't think I've actually heard any of those songs :selena:  I do remember Womaniser being played on radio... I was 10 in 2008... like, I was young! I wasn't super fascinated by pop music - only the ones that stood out like Gaga and Katy. I feel like Britney was global until like 2003, then had one hit (Womaniser) and wasn't seen again until Scream & Shout

Nah, her last good song was Work Bitch and that's putting it mildly.

But at least she looks happy :spin:
