Why delaying ‘Chromatica’ is the best decision Lady Gaga could’ve made

Except she’s probably going to release it in May/June so nothing changed regarding the pandemic. So she still won’t be able to do promo unless she waits till like october. Also the album is soon gonna leak and she’ll be forced to release it early so you don’t have a point and you also wasted your time making this long a$$ thread

Except the author does make solid points in favor of the delay and clearly there are people here on this website who agree with her decision and understand her circumstances. And I'll post about whatever I want to because we're free to express what we feel and think here. If you don't like it don't come to those threads.

And yes she also still be an humanitarian. I mean im sure shes busy but this simply doesnt favour her at all. And if the album leaks theyll jist have to relsase anyway

I Agree with the first postponement but now she can release the album unless she wants to wait till the end of this year, otherwise it doesn’t make sense to wait till like July or August

Well, it's all about the money, and i get it why she did it, but i dont think it was such a smart decision. Just cause she stopped, doesnt mean that everyone else will. Also we have no idea when everything will return to "normal", so is she gonna wait a year?

She could have used this oportunity to talk about songs over instagram, facebook etc., to play something at home with her piano and so on. It would have been much more personal then her talking in an interview how "This is something i have been dreaming to make since i was 9 years old".

At the end of the day, it was her decision, and they know the best, so we will have to wait. It just sucks, cause we waited so many years, and still have to wait few months, while everyone else is announcing/releasing something. It's just exhausting...

You jumped into conclusion and said that Gaga didn't do anything to make use of the delay to plan Chromatica differently, which she could be very well doing right now/in the past few weeks.

I speak about things we have. She released the leaked song after a month and the era was literally over. Artists can adapt to such situations as Dua Lipa did, for example. Gaga could also chat with fans, do some online broadcasting, even upload the acoustic live of SL to YouTube and fans would be satisfied enough, but she did noting connected to the era for last months.

There's definetly lots of ways to promote the songs or the album right now, she could record a video talking about the songs, she could do another MV with a cartoon style (Sour Candy might be nice since BLACKPINK could help boost the views).

Honestly the promo is NOT a fair excuse because as many have said in this thread there are so many ways to promote an album via social media, it's all about the money $$$ and it's not Gaga's fault (I think) more Interscope making bad choices but I can't help to think Gaga is missing the opportunity or is not pushing them enough, who the fcks knows tbh and given how silent she is rn ...

The Weeknd comparison is kinda moot. All of a sudden he's just as big as a force in music as Lady Gaga? I guess he is since people are buying it like crazy. Even though he released a song since last year that shouldn't mean anything. Stupid Love came out almost a month before Chromatica's release date and that song leaked since last year. If The Weeknd was able to chart at number one for weeks during an epidemic and Gaga's album has to be pushed back, it just shows her label doesn't have the confidence in her to sell like Abel.
