She is doing so much, 12 years into her career, and I wonder why? She has the money and acclaim already, so what makes her want to continue making art for us? Also, the work she does for the Born This Way Foundation is so amazing too. Like why does she do it? Her fans do not appreciate her, and the public is dismissive of her sometimes. No other star right now is doing as much as she is doing, especially one that has been around for as long she has. I think I know the reason why. It is LOVE. She loves what she does and she loves us. Chromatica Island 8,517 Posted May 2, 2020 Share Posted May 2, 2020 I think what motivates her is her passion and artistry, I think she want's to do music sort of as a hobby (and a job too of course) and put it out there for the public whether they like it or not (like Joanne) and is satisfied even if one person enjoys it, I don't think she cares much about numbers or sales, she did it for an impact in the lives of people whether they like it or not. This is why I love her. I just think that she want's people to know her life story through her music and get her even if it doesn't do well in the charts. As an artist myself (I have no ambitions of becoming a star FYI...just art for myself and loved ones) I literally get a high from creating stuff. I don't know how to explain it but when I paint, sketch something or write music there is this satisfying feeling you only get when you actually make something yourself. It's beautiful. I could literally spend hours every day for weeks straight on making art and it feels like no time has gone by. This is probably what helps motivate Gaga too and I imagine every artist on earth in general. I think we all share this universal love for creation and the thrill it provides us. Love is a big part of it. It's also her dedication to do all she can to help others, spread kindness, and change the world. Her celebrity status gives her the reach to to help many more people than she could by volunteering in a food pantry or homeless shelter. She also spreads her messages through some of her songs. Glamourpuss 29,062 Posted May 2, 2020 Share Posted May 2, 2020 I think she aspires to be a good person and I think she wants to be remembered as somebody who did good things for people and changed the world while she was here. I think being an artist is a large part of her personality but not what she wants to be defined as. Love is definitely what motivates her but she always seems to be working on her personal growth. I always get the impression she's one of those people who wants to be better than they were the day before so she's always pushing herself to be better and that's why the kindness message means so much to her. GaGaAst 13,023 Posted May 2, 2020 Share Posted May 2, 2020 I have learned one important lesson in life. Compassion and burning desire to do something is what it takes to make people successful. I have met few people in life who feel that sleeping is a waste of time so they hardly sleep for 4 or 5 hours. They have so many things to do that each second matters for them. We have heard from multiple people that during TF/TFM/BTW era she would hardly sleep and work all the time. She can't do it anymore because of her pain but won't give up easily. Gaga is one of those people who are bound to be successful no matter what field they enter. She is smart and a hell of a workaholic. Sadly, not everyone has it in them and only those who have it make it to the top of the world. Yes luck too plays an important part in success. But remember gaga was dropped from Def Jam but still made it to the top. Its all because of that.
