Just because you're p*ssed that she delayed the album doesn't mean you have the right to accuse her of being a horrible person. What's next, y'all going to accuse Gaga of abusing her dead horse or whatever? Also, it literally takes FIVE seconds to google and see BTWF gives out a ton of grants. There were in some local newspapers here in the US because they gave money to a lot of public schools to establish mental health programs for teens, and several local public schools in the Vegas area were able to meet Gaga and come to Enigma. I even saw a segment on my local news station here in CA, and I know that people have posted articles here on GGD about it. The actress from POSE once discussed how Gaga kept the group home she lived in from having to close down, which GGD posted about. Ppl can say what they want about Gaga letting her mom, who doesn't really have the experience, run the foundation but it's not a money laundering operation and it's so gross so called fans are insinuating that sort of thing or claiming Gaga makes a profit of BTWF. Really, many on here are acting crazy and worse than some Madonna stans back in the day. I doubt Bey, Selena Gomez, etc. fans don't accuse them of this f*ckery. I've worked within the community non-profit/corporate CSR sector before, and the impression I get is that the BTWF acts almost like a philanthropic structure for other specialized, or regional, organizations that are in line or adjacent with their core statements. It seems they occasionally do direct work, too (education and trauma resource funding for those areas affected by the massive US shootings last year, etc). BTWF doesn‘t seem to have a regular income. Most likely they use Gaga’s name to get donations from big companies (Starbucks for example) when they need a certain amount of money to support programmes other charities actually have the ressources and capacities but don‘t have the money for to do it. BTWF doesn‘t have the capacity and money to set up a hotline run by its own. You need employees, infrastructure and all the logistics that comes with that. It‘s really expensive but you don‘t earn money from it. Also there are other hotlines related to LGBTQ already.
