After all that happened, "no evidence" sounds more like "we'd announce it later" to me. :vegas:

- "No evidence of the virus in our country."

- "No evidence of human-to-human transmission." -WHO

- "No evidence on the usefulness of masks." - WHO, CDC

it stinks. :billie:

So many credible people have been calling out how we’ve been dealing with this since day one. A pretty good rule of thumb is when the masses start repeating phrases collectively like a bunch of robots (flatten the curve etc) it’s probably propaganda

This has always been about our rotten healthcare system... not shutting down just for the sake of shutting down.

you’re criticizing the entire worlds healthcare system? don’t forget Canada, Germany, France also initiated shut downs.

yup. if it smells like fish, looks like fish, and tastes like fish—it’s probably fish!

the pedalled narrative has changed from “flatten the curve”, to “plank the curve”, to “wait for the cure”...

It really is the same people making those threads and interacting with each other over and over again

If you’re all so aligned on your positions why don’t you take it to PMs? Who are you trying to convince here?

I really don’t understand why we keep seeing those threads. At first I assumed that maybe you had the intention of simply informing people, but clearly that doesn’t hold since two comments later you say "Lockdown supporters will find a new reason why people need to stay home", which doesn’t really open a friendly dialogue, does it?

I don’t know what you’re looking to do, or if you enjoy seeing people coming for you left and right, but clearly you’ve found a small group of people who seem to agree with your position, so why not go ahead and have those rants privately instead of posting them on a Lady Gaga fan forum

Listen up.

We aren't going to tolerate bratty opinions on here acting like this virus hasn't already killed 65k+ people and counting in the US. We aren't going to take seriously your petty demands for Starbucks when that's literally the last thing we should be focusing on. Black and brown communities are struggling to fight off this virus due to the lack of health coverage and attention from politicians and negligent folks like you. And tbh, their lives are more important than your iced coffees...

The fact that you act like this lockdown as some sort of oppression of your Starbucks intake is one of the most privileged things I have ever heard. We are on lockdown to bend the curve and help out medical professionals on the frontlines. We continue to see tens of thousands of new cases every day as well as thousands of deaths. So don't sit there and tell us that this is some agenda to keep you from your Starbucks.

What's in it for us? Idk, maybe the well-being of those most at risk? Not having this virus kill 100k more people if we hadn't taken precaution. We don't need to find new reasons to tell people to stay home or at least practice social distancing when outside. We have already known these reasons since March. And it doesn't take much brain power to do so.

Stop downplaying this virus as if it won't affect you or your loved ones. This incessant need to ignore this whole pandemic for a $4 cup of coffee is pathetic.

Period.

Some people are baffling

It's pretty clear to me that these users are just attention seekers. They have their legit opinion about the issue but it became obvious that they enjoy having people coming for them. This is a forum and issues can be discussed, but right now there are thousand of studies running about the virus and we still don't know s**t about it, so choosing the articles that only reinforce their opinion and being ironic about the importance of the virus and the people who respect the authorities and the lockdowns is not cute at all. I am not an expert but do these users really think big economies of the world are in lockdown and in risk of recession for nothing? Or we have to belive that the virus is a hoax and this is all an orchestration to impose comunism? Sure, just take a look at the number of casualties.

It does when you consider that for the past what, two weeks, three? all you've been doing is posting threads about how lockdown should end :ladyhaha:

Someone's pushing a narrative :enigma:

Sorry for posting scientific evidence against your opinion. Now do what u do best. Ignore the evidence. :trollga:

Just stop. I've told u last time. End with general accusations. Bring your own articles and studies. Post them. U act like a science denier just because u dont agree with the studies.

A) Less deaths than flu season 2017/18. And no. not because of lockdowns, because countries that didn't follow lockdowns had the same (or even less) cases than us.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/last-years-flu-broke-records-for-deaths-and-illnesses-new-cdc-numbers-show/2018/09/26/97cb43fc-c0ed-11e8-90c9-23f963eea204_story.html

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-04-19/sweden-says-controversial-covid-19-strategy-is-proving-effective

B) NYC used less than 60% of hospital resources it thought it would. Beds sat empty, a Military ship remained unused in port.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/10/nyregion/new-york-coronavirus-hospitals.html

C) That 4$ cup of coffee represents countless jobs in south america and africa, allowing people in those countries to feed their families and barely keep above the poverty line.

Because of the shutdowns, 250 million people will be pushed into starvation. For comparison, at the 0.78% mortality rate that we are currently observing, the virus would kill 67 million of the worlds population

Are you alright?

Argentina under lockdown: 3000 cases

Brazil without lockdown: 90,000 cases

Sweden and the USA have a huge difference in population, and the USA started the lockdown way too late.

Kindness rules all.
