i mean i fully agree with you but poor people don't go around travelling to China and to hell and back to spread the virus, rich people are to blame in part :green:

with the right marketing it can become "exotic gourmet cuisine", the west world still believes dog and bug eating is universal there

you know how everything becomes chic with a mint leaf on top :billie:

but yeah you're right, it's not just one thing to be blamed, it's a whole mountain of mess

oh wait that's not even related :deadbanana:

but you get the point

There can still be some restrictions on international travel while allowing most people to go back to work. I’m not saying reopening should be a free-for-all

travel should not be re-opened until we have the ability to test almost everyone coming through our airports imo. or until the virus has been eradicated to the point where contact tracing is super easy

I don’t disagree but I had plans to go to banff this summer so I’m mad about being trapped in the US indefinitely haha

This may be technically true but it’s super off the mark. I live in Southeast Asia and wealthier people are a significant portion of wildlife trading that leads to the culture of consuming exotic animals and the existence of wet markets.

Listen up.

We aren't going to tolerate bratty opinions on here acting like this virus hasn't already killed 65k+ people and counting in the US. We aren't going to take seriously your petty demands for Starbucks when that's literally the last thing we should be focusing on. Black and brown communities are struggling to fight off this virus due to the lack of health coverage and attention from politicians and negligent folks like you. And tbh, their lives are more important than your iced coffees...

The fact that you act like this lockdown as some sort of oppression of your Starbucks intake is one of the most privileged things I have ever heard. We are on lockdown to bend the curve and help out medical professionals on the frontlines. We continue to see tens of thousands of new cases every day as well as thousands of deaths. So don't sit there and tell us that this is some agenda to keep you from your Starbucks.

What's in it for us? Idk, maybe the well-being of those most at risk? Not having this virus kill 100k more people if we hadn't taken precaution. We don't need to find new reasons to tell people to stay home or at least practice social distancing when outside. We have already known these reasons since March. And it doesn't take much brain power to do so.

Stop downplaying this virus as if it won't affect you or your loved ones. This incessant need to ignore this whole pandemic for a $4 cup of coffee is pathetic.

Gurl how do u tie someone’s reasonable opposition to the lockdown with racial dismissiveness. U know returning to work would be the best thing for black and brown communities in the US right? Ugh I feel so wrong saying black and brown communities as if they are the only community that is affected by poverty, it feels racist.... have they been the most affected? Yes! But mostly they are affected by the lack of income so...

You’d think people would look to hope instead of fear but that’s how a lot of people live their lives. They let fear run their lives.

our system is only as strong as we treat it. any system, if it is shutdown, is gonna fail.

Lol you tried.

This system will always be susceptible to the mismanagement of corrupt politicians who hold the needs of the rich and powerful above the rest.

The shut down only exists because the healthcare system is being held hostage. If this country had done the logical thing, we would be prepared to take on as many cases as needed and we wouldn’t be forced to close down the precious economy.

This has always been about our rotten healthcare system... not shutting down just for the sake of shutting down.

Hydrangea

The rest of the world is just watching America like thank god that isn’t me right now. If I was Mexico and Canada I would really wall them off and let them win the All the Darwin awards they wanted. Guess I care more about human life in general than my own “freedoms” on a relatively short temporary basis

Looking down at my $t loser misery

It does when you consider that for the past what, two weeks, three? all you've been doing is posting threads about how lockdown should end :ladyhaha:

Someone's pushing a narrative :enigma:

It's a joke! When you give me that look, it's a joke!
