It's delusional to believe that the people who listen to the leaks can make an impact on the chart position of a song/album, and it seems that that's the only thing you're worried about here. Out of respect for Gaga I wouldn't go out of my way to share a leak, but if you think you can preach to me about listening to it, then you probably need a reality check.

I am very much worried about that too, even more so than commercial success. But, I was just responding to the argument of "It's fine I'll listen to and buy it when it comes out".

I think the reason people can't keep it to themselves is that they are acting as if the song is officially released. Whenever a new song is released officially (without a leak), people don't want to stop talking about it. They share the song with friends, talk about it online, etc. This is great when a song is officially released, but when it leaks it isn't. The people really want to talk about because it is new and they love it, but they are spreading a leak, not a song.
This is just another reason leaks are bad.

When rain on me leaked they were like 5 threads about it at the same damn time on here  it was nearly impossible to avoid

Everyday people  create threads asking if they want chromatica to leak and when they think the album should leak  but now its somehow wrong and annyoing for us to voice out our opinions about not wanting leaks. A guilty  conscience can be spotted from miles away

All these guilt trip threads will do zero impact to stop the leak from spreading. At the end of the day, all people want is just the music. Especially for albums that people supposed to get weeks ago. Y'all try your best but trust me that the second the leak drops, all kind of pretense and logic will also drop, the people will download it regardless. And that includes most of you who say you won't listen to it. Because most people are FOMO. And you will get spoiled either way, even if you choose not to listen to the leaks, be it this cult site or on social media websites. All attempts will be futile.

lol no I started listening to Stupid Love the second it leaked and still streamed it twice today... also I’m literally streaming Joanne RIGHT NOW and it leaked on October 17th 2016

not to mention bopping to Aura EVERY SINGLE DAY which leaked in August 2013
