Would an Adele release right now impact Chromatica?

It will affect everyone, not only Gaga. However, nothing is everlasting  and the music industry change so very often. 

She will definitely perform well but whether it will be ground breaking , only time can tell.

Depending on how far apart the releases are Adele could definitely affect sale and chart placement. Depending on each of their albums Adele could also effect award season (she generally does very well and they probably will be in most of the same categories). If Adele changes her style could also play a huge roll (I think she will cause she can only make so many ballad heavy albums and I personally would like to see her do something different). If she does change her style people may be more drawn to it to see something different from Adele and if she doesn't her songs always have an incredible ability to smash all records. But obviously Coronavirus will effect both of their rollouts and sales.
