Morphine Prince 109,654
More than 5,000 Brazilians have lost their lives to the coronavirus... But on Tuesday night Brazil’s president shrugged off the news. “So what?” Jair Bolsonaro told reporters when asked about the record 474 deaths that day. “I’m sorry. What do you want me to do?” Bolsonaro’s 11-word response – the latest in a series of remarks belittling the pandemic – sparked immediate fury. One newspaper, the Estado de Minas, stamped the president’s words on to a black front page beside Brazil’s death toll: 5,017. “Bolsonaro isn’t just an awful politician and a bad president, he’s a despicable human being,” tweeted Marcelo Freixo, a leftwing opponent. “My name’s Messiah,” Bolsonaro also told reporters on Tuesday, in reference to his second name, Messias. “But I can’t work miracles.” Source: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/29/so-what-bolsonaro-shrugs-off-brazil-rising-coronavirus-death-toll
Dramatica 13,698
I'm hoping for an Instant Karma for Bolsorano, similar to what happened to Boris Johnson. I know it's awful to wish sickness over somebody but I guess he won't realise it's a life threatening virus until he tastes some of its bitterness I didn't ask for a free ride, I only asked you to show me a real good time. Maleficent 6
Where was this outcry when Zika was leading to severe birth defects in Brazil? I remember most of the world had a "So what" attitude about it by the end of 2016, even tho the virus continues to be a problem.

Allan 3,944
Everyday I try to stay away from news regarding this man because it's devastating that our country is under such irresponsible representation. I feel like he doesn't know what being a president actually means and/or doesn't care at all, it's so childish... from telling businesses to open right when the quarantine started and the cases were starting to grow from hugging protestors who wanted military intervention during a social distancing moment, he's been doing everything wrong. From his declarations alone he's committed several crimes over the past 2 years. And I will come for each and everyone on this thread who dares to defend him (as long as I have the time lol)
Rbr 421
He is everything Brazil doesn’t need during this pandemic and the cause of 80% of my anxiety during these days.

Rbr 421
Bolsonaro is indefensible. I never thought in my entire life I would see this country so vulnerable and out of control.
culturalbaptism 2,969
This worthless piece of meat needs to be impeach. To say the very least. Before it kills more innocent people. Judas is coming, let the cultural baptism begin.

I remember most of the world had a "So what" attitude about it by the end of 2016, even tho the virus continues to be a problem. Let's put this on perspective: It's a global pandemic. Brazil is one of the biggest countries of the world (population, economy and area-wise). The curve doesn't seem to be flattening and and 5k+ people are dead. The president literally, with all the words, implied that he can't do nothing about it. The president. The ****ING PRESIDENT. If, as you're saying, the world didn't care about Zika, wouldn't it be about time we care about this pandemic for a change?

I meant to say that a pandemic is only as dangerous as the public's response to it. The whole world didn't take Zika seriously and it continues to be a problem. However, as long as everyone takes this pandemic seriously, we can halt it. My point is: who cares what the president says, as long as the overall population knows what needs to be done--which thankfully, based on the criticism he received, I thin the people of Brazil know what to do...(?)
