Monsters are lame as hell no lie.
they drag her if she doesn’t credit people then drag her when she does. Who cares if she has writers? This isn’t new info. It makes much more sense to get help with creating a song than to sit there and struggle to write something decent.

And I hate to be that guy but Gaga doesn’t even mention half of her co-writers sometimes. Like, I thought from what Gaga said that she did basically write all her music herself but when you look at the credits it’s not just DJWS or Red One but people like Jeppe Laursen as well. People that don’t even get mentioned in interviews and stuff. It’s not a big deal to me. If the product is good then the product is good and it’s pop music. It’s a business so you hire people to do the job and project. But it seems a bit rich of monsters to check Beyoncé on this when Gaga is out here barely mentioning DJ Snake or other producers/writers. Again, I personally don’t care because if the song slaps then that’s hot but it’s just a little hypocritical.

Its good, but she kinda feels out of place... like its feels forced a little bit...

To me, the harmonies are a little out of place, though well done, but her bars are delivered so well.

but just a thing to throw in, the speed of her runs towards the end is *unbelievable*. Her vocal agility is incredible.

The lyrics are kind of terrible as but the song is still hot

tbh they’re actually not bad, the style is just different

i saw someone comparing it to SL which makes zero sense. SL is a pop song about freedom and love, whereas savage is a rap/flex song. BARS are always gonna be different POP LYRICS. that’s not bad, it’s just a different style

jumping on hit songs to get a 1#

If the song goes beyond its #14 peak on the Hot 100, it'll be because of Beyoncé. Savage wasn't going Top 10 but if it does now that's only because of Beyoncé's power.

I'm very familiar with rap but I still think it's not well written. Whereas a lot of Kendrick Lamar's songs are VERY well written. SL is also not good lyrically btw.

she always has to stick her nose in everything thats trendy?

i personally hate when artists jump on a popular track for clout
and it is never as good or successful as the original and also most of the time its bad

1.tbf you could say gaga’s jumping on trends. collabing with ariana who just peaked, blackpink who have a huge fanbase like all kpop groups, the whole corona relief effort. i dont think she’s hopping on trends, i think she’s doing it all because she genuinely wants to, but same could be said for bey.

2.you say ‘for clout’ as though that’s the obvious assumption. bey and meg are both proudly from houston and both representative of the same style and culture. the collab completely makes sense, hit or not

Honestly, I think it’s so cool that Beyoncé got on a track with Megan (also a Houston native)...

But it sounds kind of off to me? Her flow/voice doesn’t really match well with the beat?? I don’t know, maybe I need to hear it again. Her lyrics are funny though. And it seems like Beyoncé basically turned it into her own song and now Megan’s the feature. :smh:  I actually really love Megan and the original Savage though.

Edit: Read through several of the replies on here and YES! - someone said what I was thinking. Forced. It sounds forced, the harmonies don’t fit very well with the beat at times. Eh, I guess it’s okay but I don’t think the remix was necessary. I would’ve liked to have seen the 2 of them do an original song together.
