And it was Sine From Above that was from 2013... but was never part of any Gaga project before Chromatica. It was Elton's song which he obviously scrapped until Axwell brought it back up again. The rest of the songs, including 1000 Doves, were recorded between 2017 & 2019/20 - the recording length for the full album :teehee:  so looks like Admin was wrong here

But how much of that do we actually know about though? From what I know of they never said ANYTHING about 1000 Doves during that interview where they talk about the making of it, first of all, shady :poot:, second, Admin literally has Gaga's CONTACT. If we were to get any info from ANYONE on here, it's probably Admin and maybe a few other reliable users :vegas:

That's rumoured to be Room In My Heart, a collab with Elton for Joanne.

I can hear Gaga sing the title track on the snippet.

While Admin has gotten stuff right, there are plenty of things he has gotten wrong.

To be honest, Chromatica as a whole project still remains a mystery in terms of how it was created. We have information on lots of tracks, but we don't know a lot about some of them.

All we know is that she wrote this song (1000 Doves) as a cry for help. Which, if you look at things retrospectively, it makes sense that she wrote it during the time for Chromatica. It doesn't make sense that she would write it during ARTPOP or Joanne.

Plus, in her contract, it states that she can't re-use old material for a new project. Meaning if there was a couple tracks from ARTPOP that didn't make the cut and she wanted them on Chromatica, it would breach her contract. Its why Gaga has never reused a song from a previous era for an album.

Nothing On But The Radio was indeed reworked, but the OG didn't have an album that it "belonged" to. And Earthquake was made in the BTW recording cycle - also note that it was the bridge she re-worked. Fashion of his Love is a completely different song.

Sine From Above wasn't intended for Gaga in the first place, so technically it was a new song brought up in the Chromatica era from a Gaga stand point.

I didn't know this but it's interesting if it's true.

Last I had heard was Gaga wanted to take a more stripped down approach to her music after ARTPOP regardless, when she worked with RedOne they made 8 songs most of which were downtempo or mid tempo with Fs’d being the only uptempo song, he kept trying to make her go in the more dance-y 2011/2012 sound direction he was rehashing at the time and she didn’t want to so she cut his project and ever since he’s been pushing Fs’d to other artists most recently Ava Max.

Joanne / LG5 had no concrete concept, direction or sound until she worked with Mark and he sat outside the studio with her and her typewriter and she wrote the title track.

Chromatica has no recycled Gaga songs, all the songs were made in 2018-2019 [not counting the old concepts for SFA, Replay etc] with Bloodpop from the sessions he and she posted about online after she finished the ASIB soundtrack and scrapped DJWS’s work, it then got turned in to the label in January 2020 [which BP himself said online]. Love Me Right was probably one of the first tracks they made since it still had that ASIB 80s pop song vibe, it probably matched whatever she made with Paul in 2017/2018 and she was tryna pin it together.

gaga can make hundreds of songs for an album and only release around 16. why would u think she couldn't make a whole brand new songs for her latest album?

Actually in her contract it states she needs permission first to do it from Interscope but ONLY from songs specifically from album recording sessions because they own her masters. For example she can sample herself or reuse old lyrics freely without permission for example reusing some of Earthquake in FOHL she wouldn’t need permission because they don’t own her lyrics just her masters. Unless Earthquake was a fully finalised song in consideration for The Fame Monster or part of recording sessions specifically for the album and not made for fun, and she wanted to reuse it in the future she would need their permission and they’d lay out the ground rules.

Thats why NOBTR had to be renamed and reworked into Heard It (On The Radio) because it was from The Fame Monster/ BTW recording sessions if I remember rightly.

It doesn’t kill to try and find sources on your own, if you’re truly invested :poot:

“BURNS: I'd already begun working on the "Replay" instrumental outside of the Gaga project. Before I played it to Gaga and Blood, it was a sketch I had based around a sample from the Diana Ross record “It’s My House.” When BloodPop heard it, he suggested I rework it to fit a song they had started writing together called “Replay” …. It was the last song we finished for the album, I think.

Lol even he doesn’t know for sure.  Key words “I think” :ladyhaha:
