I remember it being widely accepted on here that the original plan was to release Stupid Love, immediately followed by another track on the Monday along with the official album announcement. That never happened, but there’s nothing to say it won’t this time around. If the purpose of the promo song is to generate buzz then it doesn’t need the marketing push they would normally give a single, nor the benefit of a full tracking week. A traditional Friday roll-out might actually confuse things and make it seem like the 2nd single, when clearly they want to save that for Rain On Me. So basically new music could drop at any time during the announcement week. I can even see them releasing ROM on Thurs 21, the day before the album (video on the Friday) - it’s not unheard of and it would be a great final bit of hype before the full record comes out.
