Essentially there is still a lot up in the air and shuffling going on as we know from reliable sources of information on this era. For them to announce anything and then have to essentially take it back will just make things worse. So yeah the current plan may be end of May release and it may have last week been early June. But what if they announce "end of May!" and then they have to announce ANOTHER delay due to another change? So until plans are 110% certain and guaranteed to happen there will be nothing to announce or share. Just look at the Stupid Love remix that we know from sources was slated for this week, it was planned to go a few days ago but then it apparently was canned as a release. There's just too much changing on a day to day basis to offer really any true update - because in a way there isn't an update until AFTER a release happens at this point.

She probably hasn't said anything because it's still being discussed.

Also, the only reason I can think of her not keeping fans updated is because an announcement is coming really, really soon and she wants to make a splash with it. No news is good news! If she kept in touch without providing any real details or confirming dates then I would be suspicious that the album was actually months away. To me, the silence indicates things are imminent. 

There were no new Chromatica songs/info rumored for this week!! Next week is when insiders initially said an instant grat song could come. Things seem to be changing but I don’t think the album isn’t coming soon-ish anymore. Even if no one can leak the full album it seems like ROM is a threat to be leaked & that’s coming in May.

Most artists already released at least a song to make people wait or adressed officially the situation. Some of them already set another date.

The only thing we got are the things she felt forced to share because it leaked online. Girl, get out of your Covid-19 bubble a bit. It won't hurt you or anybody to adress what is going on. 

Actually i'd argue the course of the meltdowns is down to the fans themselves, she said when they have a new date set in stone they would inform us, she has to get everything in order and can't when people keep leaking her sh*t all the time. They're more than likely sorting BTS stuff out so it can all go smoothly, like making sure her Spotify playlist takeovers she had planned can go ahead still, her Apple Music banners are gonna be there for album release week. 

As you said there's a lot of time and money invested, but they can't just expect people to be easily shifted around it's a business; she can't be like "ok the album is coming  XX/XX" to Apple and them just kick out whoever bought promotional material for that week off their schedule, they have to go through it all with their marketing team and they all have to agree on both ends  She also is probably trying to double down on security and making sure nothing else leaks. 

y'all having meltdowns because of info fan accounts, whether they're reliable or otherwise, give you when all gaga said was we'll tell you when everything is 100% sorted. If y'all are melting down it's your own fault; don't over hype yourselves like y'all did with ARTPOP just to spend the whole release week trash talking  the music industry is a BUSINESS so she can't just do what she wants nor can her team.

We’ve been saying that for 3 years. Something is coming soon, she wants a surprise release, a surprise cover reveal, etc. We know is not the case. 
At this point the “splash” approach hasn’t worked for her at all.

I'm all for not releasing any information that is still tenuous, that would be dumb. 

A 5 second post saying "we are still working out the details..." etc would be nice.

That being said I DO think the silence is a good sign. But until there's no silence this thread is going to be a hot miserable mess and all you Gaga apologists will deal.

A "country style album"? Joanne literally has like one country-country song, but that's it. Yeah, cause PI, DIC, John Wayne, Diamond Heart, Come to Mama, Angel Down, Just Another Day, etc. are all considered "country"

A "semi religious album"? Ummmm....is that referring to Joanne? Is that referring to ASIB? Where's the religion there? Cause she has a song called "Sinner's Prayer"? BTW is 10x more religious than those two albums combined

"Toned down her style and political statements? Okay, sure, for Joanne and ASIB she did tone down her style. However, for ASIB, that was necessary for the movie, and for Joanne, that's just how the era was presented. It's a tone-downed album, so it makes sense for her to be tone-downed as well. As for her activism...she's talked about gun control, she's continued to talk about LGBTQ rights, she's spoken up for rape victims and sexual assault survivors, she's talked much more about mental health, etc.

"She did Vegas for crazy prices"? Okay, sure, some of the prices were pretty expensive, but literally the only people to hate Enigma are some of her fans. It's doing great, critically and financially.

She could do some online performances, but who knows what she's up to right now....As for her artistry, take a look at the Chromatica stuff we've gotten. It's literally some of her best in years.

I know, I more meant I thought we might get an indication that the era was picking back up again this week - even just the rumoured remix. And, if that was the case, I would stick to not listening to leaks until they eventually came out, knowing it would be soon
