Is Gaga on Madonna & Britney’s level in terms of Pop Royalty/ Legend?

We can’t compare Madonna and Gaga yet because Gaga’s career is literally 1/4th that of M. Give her sometime, she’ll catch up. She’s halfway on the road to EGOT and if she wins an Emmy and Tony in the next 3-4 years, she’ll be the youngest EGOT ever. I don’t know why you guys want her to be the next Madonna when her career can be glorious like Barbra Streisand.

This. She's already the Streisand of her own respective generation at this point and is on her way to becoming Streisand's young torch-bearer in to the future. Beautiful we're alive to witness this 🙏🏼💕

She’s exceeded both of them imo, the only thing Madonna has over her is sales and even that’s gonna go downhill since tour bundles don’t equate to album sales anymore .

That's sort of true. Madonna was huge and groundbreaking in the 80s and 90s but she sort of ruined her image after the 2000s. She had one great album being Confessions on a Dance Floor but she still relies on cheap stunts that piss off religious people and conservatives to excuse that she's not that great of a singer anymore. Plus she clings onto any new pop star to seek relevancy now.

I would rather see Gaga emulate the careers of David Bowie and Elton John in her later years then be like Madonna, still dancing in lingerie in her 50s thinking she still sexy and doing desperate attempts to shock. Gaga could easily sit at a piano and sing her heart out on Vegas for decades and become more respected then Madonna ever was.

Gaga is an icon already in every area and will be referenced for years to come, however with britney she's surpassed her a long time back. Yes, i love Britney but to me she's does not have the level of artistry that Gaga and Madonna both have. They write and produce there own songs and have been in every genre where as britney has pretty much been doing the same thing since 99. She is a a legend of course and i won't deny her impact.

I don't think so... She is much more talented than Madonna, more versatile, muuuch moooore critically acclaimed. We need to wait 10 more years to see, however, I believe than she is going to reach MJ's level. And she is in a much more difficult possition than Madonna was, to become a legend

Eh, I think she’s generally considered more talented than Madonna. However, I don’t think any of Gaga’s albums have reached the acclaim as something like Ray of Light, despite my personal preference.

She still have some time to make her biggest album yet! I feel that Chromarica is to make her gay fans happy, but there is nothing wrong with that!

In all honesty, I feel like we’re living in a different world now. We don’t have the homogenous culture that the likes of Britney and Madonna dominated via mainstream media anymore. I think it’s unlikely we’ll see another music star with the same level of mass appeal in the general public. If anything Gaga was the last big star and she’s done focusing on diverse artistic output rather than branding which is a good way to go.

Billie Elish is just an edgy emo teenager. She's popular now but so was Lorde back in 2013. She had one big hit and a few Grammys but she's nowhere near the stardom Lady Gaga was in 2009\2010.

I think you guys ignore the cultural impact Madonna has... since the beginning she made millions of women copy her style (the word wannabe was invented cause of the girls who dressed like Madonna), was and is a feminist icon, was an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and against the HIV crisis when literally everyone was putting the blame on us, changed the game on how women could portray their sexuality and desires to the public more than one time, is a fashion icon, her music videos are on modern art museums, raised hospitals in Malawi, and to this day is fighting against sexism and ageism in our culture and in music (something that all those popstars we love today will face if they don't 'act their age' and stop being sexy at certain age)...

Gaga can become legendary, of course, she's talented, kind, have a vision, her work with the WHO against COVID-19 is something historical, but in no way she's on the level of Madonna, she can be in some decades, but today, she's just and outstanding artist and person, not Pop Royalty

No Lady Gaga was huge. Let me tell you how huge she was when she came out as someone who followed her back then. She had two number one singles back to back. Fair to say some people at the time was calling her a fluke. But then Bad Romance came and completely shattered any opinions that she was gonna be a fad and was not the real deal. That song had legs, it completely reinvented her into an icon. A video that broke all the records, won all the awards, was the most viewed video at the time.

Look during the summer of 2009 she impressed people so much she had the late Michael Jackson fanning over her wanting to tour with her. She had Kanye West wanting to do a joint tour with her. She had Cyndi Lauper and Madonna attending her concerts with Madonna Lourdes witnessing gay sex in the audience. That's ****ing iconic. She would host SNL with Madonna. She did a remix with the prince of darkness Marilyn Manson. She was called Pop's new It Girl by Rolling Stone, the new princess of pop by the media, the next Madonna by Kanye. She had one of the most legendary performances at the VMAS. The Fame went on being one of the top selling debut albums. Did I mention this was all in 2009. The next year she would open up the Grammys with Elton John, Born This Way was the first single to break all the records, The Fame Monster era influenced every pop star to dress eccentric. Dance music became more popular because of The Fame domination on the radio. Both The Fame and The Fame Monster dominated the radio for two years after its release. She went from videos like Eh Eh and LoveGame to a video like Bad Romance in one year.

Billie Elish has one big song Bad Guy, and a lucky Grammy night. No one has come close to Gagas impact since she came out. Gaga's imperial phase was a meteor crashing to Earth introducing us to Gaga's world.
