Morphine Prince 109,650
I will NOT be dining out or catching a movie. Retail? Online. Let’s see what happens, but I will not be their guinea pig

Bt1 5,213
At 25% capacity, it sounds like a decent strategy.

Maleficent 6
Not a bad strategy considering the curve is flattened and daily deaths have steadily declined. Let's see what happens. Obviously we cannot hide in our houses until a vaccine is ready.
Lord Temptation 11,209
I think they are doing it sensibly. If people are concerned, wear a mask when you got out or don’t go out. 25% capacity sounds more than enough space to ensure a safe distance.

Morphine Prince 109,650
Lol at non-Texans in here. I can assure you MANY businesses will NOT enforce the 25% capacity. So we'll see what happens. This is not a bad strategy, but some argue it should be implemented at a later date.

gabeoz 7,915
I f*cking hate our governor/lt governor The entire shutting down/opening up process in Texas has been a sh*t show thanks to our incompetent governor. Texas is still at the bottom of states in testing and several cities (including San Antonio, where I live) are yet to hit their expected peaks for another 1-2 weeks But of course they wont allow cities to make individual decisions now that they want to "reopen the state" (but they allowed cities to do what they want when the governor refused to shut down), so cities like San Antonio and Austin who have actual teams of economists and public healthcare experts to lay out roadmaps to reopen gradually aren't allowed to follow their timelines. But then again this is coming from the exact same duo who literally told you that your grandparents are willing to die for the economy on national TV. Not only that, but people here already arent taking rules serious enough. Most people in San Antonio still dont wear face masks out even though it's a requirement as of a week ago, to think that a lot of business will actually follow the 25% rule is naive I work as a server and my restaurant has been shut down for a month and a half, if it decides to reopen, not only do I have a high risk roommate, but I would be forced to return and forced off unemployment when I probably would make little to nothing if the restaurant reopens so soon (meaning no food, bills, etc). I literally wont be able to survive. I hope Texans take this entire process as a lesson come the election; the current GOP administration doesnt give a sh*t about you, only their pockets. They're trying to move much faster than Trump's reopening process, which tells you a lot.
Shadow 6,697
Living in Texas is like living in the twilight zone... Are people really going to brave the stores and theaters? It's all fun and games of risk until one is in ICU, dying from pneumonia or worse, someone they love dies. Stand in the light, cast your shadow.
