bees and honeyy 542
We've had some leaks (eek :/) and also some general track descriptions, so using that, I wanted to make a semi-educated guess as to what the setlist could look like, and I thought it'd be an interesting discussion. Below is my setlist concept, which is based on ideas that I've read about and a good few of my own. The setlist is 32 songs, which I am well aware is considerably longer than an average Gaga show, but I feel like since it is a 6 show stint, she might opt for a longer show with far more spectacles. The show has siz acts, each one is based around one of the Chromatica tribes. SETLIST ACT ONE - KINDNESS PUNKS 1. "Stupid Love" (with a considerably extended intro) 2. "Replay" 3. "1000 Doves" (contains elements of "The Cure") 4. "Bad Romance" (with a piano chorus opener) 5. "Just Dance" ACT TWO - FREEDOM FIGHTERS "Chromatica I" interlude 6. "Venus" 7. "Free Woman" 8. "Born This Way" 9. "Paparazzi" (contains elements of "Love Me Right") 10. "Babylon" (contains elements of "Scheisse") ACT THREE - ECO WARRIORS band interlude 11. "Perfect Illusion" (demo version) 12. "Monster" 13. "Sour Candy" 14. "Plastic Doll" 15. "Alejandro" (contains elements of "Heal Me") 16. "Swine" ACT FOUR - GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS "Chromatica II" interlude 17. "Aura" 18. "911" 19. "LoveGame" 20. "G.U.Y." (contains elements of "Sexxx Dreams") 21. "Fun Tonight" ACT FIVE - JUNKYARD SCAVENGERS band interlude 22. "Heavy Metal Lover" (with extended intro) 23. "Dance in the Dark" 24. "Marry the Night" 25. "Sine from Above" 26. "You and I" 27. "Shallow" ACT SIX - CYBER KIDS "Chromatica III" interlude 28. "Alice" 29. "Poker Face" 30. "Enigma" (contains elements of "Telephone") 31. "The Edge of Glory" 32. "Rain on Me" "Stupid Love" reprise I also have some ideas for stage presentations. Stupid Love would be performed with the whole crew of dancers, lots of confetti and bright lights - a true Gaga number, and taken to an entirely new level on a stadium stage. 1000 Doves (which I reckon will be mid-tempo) with have the tropical-pop synths of The Cure infused into it, and it'll slow towards the end, and Gaga will play an extended outro on the piano, kind of similar to the DWUW outro at the AMAs. At the piano, Gaga will play the first verse and chorus of Bad Romance, for old times sake, and then she will do the whole song in full. Venus would be performed in purple lighting, I'm not sure why but it just seems like a pleasing presentation, and would be revamped with house elements, as would Born This Way. Babylon, which closes the second act, is one of the biggest performances of the entire show, with the whole dancer crew out again like SL, walking down the runway and serving Freedom Fighter. The outro of Babylon is extended and features the vocal stems of Scheisse, which leads into a techno-rock band interlude, preceding Perfect Illusion, which is performed on a rotating platform in a balloon-esque dress. The band transition into Monster shows projections on the skirt, and then the dancers enter the stage from the dress, and the imagery for this act is quite neon-influenced, and black, unlike Act 2 which was more 90s fashion and pastel colours. Sour Candy and Plastic Doll are focal points of the act, with high energy and lots of bright lights, and Alejandro calms the act down, and the second chorus is replaced with the chorus of Heal Me, and the rest of the song contains vocal stems too. Swine is an odd surprise for the audience, the BM of this tour you might argue, and it features video footage with political imagery and Gaga in a pig mask. Act 1 echoes Monster Ball vibes, Act 2 BTWB vibes and this act is more artRAVE. Act 4 opens with Aura, in the spiky metal heart cage on the SL single cover, and she sings the chorus dancing provocatively inside the cage, breaking out of it to perform 911 with choreo and the dancers. LoveGame, G.U.Y. and Fun Tonight finish the act, with a metal scaffolding-esque apparatus brought on stage, echoing the early BTW promo tour stage setups, and creating an industrial vibe. Act 4 continues this theme with Heavy Metal Lover and Dance in the Dark, and the dancers riding motorcycles around the stage as she dances centre-stage. Marry the Night follows, ending with pyro, which Sine from Above and You and I are performed amidst, creating a dichotomy between heaven and hell. Shallow ends the act, with a cute audience singalong, and this point of the show seems the most far remove from Chromatica, which soon changes during the performance of Alice, which I imagine is quite an entrancing song, which leads into a cabaret-style intro for Poker Face, where she sings verse one and the chorus (with lots of belting) over a finger-snap beat with the 'muh muh muh mah's, and the rest of the song is performed a la Enigma style. A remixed intro sampling Telephone leads into Enigma, with video content similar to the vibes and themes of the Enigma show. This is like a fake finale to the show, and an extended band intro leads into The Edge of Glory and then Rain on Me with fake rain. After this, an orchestral closer plays, the orchestral segment from the SL video teaser, and Gaga and the dancers do the 'all i ever wanted was love' choreo as they lower under the stage. I know this is a lot, but I have lots of time on my hands to think about it. What do you think? And what would you want to see?
