She’s insanely talented but I never could get into her music. Telephone remains my least favorite Gaga song because of her verse despite having a glorious music video. I mean I love her personality but not her music. This. Her discography is cool but nothing really crazy (in luv)

Picking an album and listening through helps get past a number of the natural barriers like her very thick accent and less conventional melodic choices. She does a good job bringing you into her world. Personally, I got into her during Vulnicura but a number of people have said that that’s one of her trickier albums for first time listeners. It’s pretty bleak. An easier listen would be Post, Debut or Homogenic.

You can say she's loud or that her voice is annoying or smth, but she's definitely not pitchy.
joannester 1,270
Demi and Ariana. I cannot stand these putas Also Cardi B's has a personality and bops here and there and a decent delivery but her music is generally just bad. Mr S 8,702
Ariana Grande: I get why she's popular, I get why she's big, but no matter how hard I try I'll never understand the critical acclaim. I like contemporary R&B music too. I really don't see how her music can do better with critics than Rihanna, or on par with Beyonce and Sza. I really don't think I can do a top 10 ranking on her because I don't like her music. I want to like it because she is a main pop girl now seems like a nice girl. But I can't get into it. MingersPrayer 585
A few people mentioned Drake - I just do not understand the appeal. Totally vanilla to me. Some songs are catchy but not the amount people so wild for. also I understand people saying Bjork, but she’s not really a mass appeal type of artist. For me, I don’t love the music but I love the visual. I’ve seen her a few times on the street in east London and she looks straight up crazy which was amazing. Beyoncé is talented and I see The appeal but I do not understand why she’s place in a god-like realm where she can do no wrong. For me her creative output is so clearly designed by a team - no problem with that strictly speaking - it’s just not very perosnal to her as an individual.
