i'm just wondering if this thing could have been going around since late november/ early december. cause in late november, i caught a cold that had me short of breath at times (very mildly) and i had a lingering cough that lasted 1.5 months. i have never in my life responded to a cold that way. i've often wondered.... plus i live in hawaii and a lot of tourists come here from china.

edit:

also the lingering cough wasn't just a little cough here and there... it was a continuous hacking that really lasted that long and did not gradually die off over time, but kind of disappeared over the span of the last week or so. there were times (a month into that cough) that i'd get into coughing fits so bad that i had to quickly go lie down because i could not take in any breath and i thought i was gonna suffocate to death lol.

I have been wondering this for myself. I am from Long Island, NY. Back at the end of January, I got extremely sick. Fevers, severely dehydrated, horrible dry cough that ended up lasting all the way until the beginning of this month, difficulty breathing/ shortness of breath, sneezing/ stuffy nose, lack of taste/ appetite, body aches. I'm someone that gets sick often throughout my entire life and let me tell you, I have never felt this sick in my life. What pushed me initially to go to a doctor was I started coughing up blood and the coughing attacks were so severe I was waking out of a sound sleep, unable to breathe (this would also just happen at random intervals during the day until the first week of April). I went to a walk-in clinic and was advised to go to the ER. At the walk-in, they did a flu test and it came out negative, but when I went to the ER, it came out positive for Flu B. Which, I thought was very odd how one test could come out negative and another positive like that. I know a lot of people who were tested positively for Flu B, ended up being misdiagnosed for COVID. It just seems so odd to me how sick I was in comparison to all the other times I've been sick. I've had Pnuemonia multiple times amongst other things and have never been that run down. So I really just am questioning so many things and have been for quite some time now.

I had all the COVID-19 symptoms on January 25. I was extremely sick in bed, feeling like I was gonna die. But I survived. I knew it was a strong virus because a lot of people on my work were getting sick with the same symptom around that time. And I work with 400+ people everyday.
