That's not nuanced at all and only true for audio. I chose NOT to look at the tracklist before Gaga posted it officially (read: basically forced to do so), and still just by opening Gagadaily on its homepage, it was thrown in my face. So basically other users took away any decision for me by creating topics as "Is Alice about...?", "Are all the Chromaticas...?", "She teased Enigma lyrics", "Elton John" ...

That's not completely true and that's what we say to justify our feelings and actions.

2 years ago, I personally had info and visuals for a Gaga project days before it was officially released and decided to keep it for myself. And as far as I know, it didn't leak further. So leaks can definitely be contained to some level, just as OP @Aga Gydal explained.

We’re her fans not her personal friend(s) we’re not employed by her either and as fans we’re going to jump on any news of a possible leak especially when the new material was postponed with no new released day doesn’t make anyone a bad person & to be fair she could more than likely be leaking the material herself who else would possible have access to it ? Physical copies were never distributed. Maybe she’s trying to ease her way back into the release and not look bad for doing so during the pandemic... maybe making it seem like someone else is leaking it allows her to save face while proceeding

This is not Aura, y'all.

And I agree that we('re more or less allowed to) jump on leaked songs like Posh Life etc, but come on, we're sure the album exists, we had a release date, we're sure it's still coming etc., so can't we really wait just a bit? When you're 100% you're gonna get it?

I said it before and I’ll say it again - leaks are what have kept this era alive. That “media traffic” created enabled hundreds of thousands of tweets, mostly positive actually, about both ROM and the tracklist. I’m not happy nor do I, and others fans, WANT things to leak, but when they do, it’s more positive in my eyes. If her album leaked that would be one thing. But this is all a bit dramatic for the leak of a tracklist (we arguably should’ve had already) and 1 minute demo of a song. Other then that we don’t know what 80% of the album sounds like still which is pretty major considering the album was due out 2 weeks ago.

Let me repeat this as well, it's TELLING that -even though eloquence doesn't automatically means that you're right- the people who don't agree happen to be exactly those who are mostly limiting their responses to "lol, not my fault" and "lol, we should have already had it though"
