The only thing that really irks me about leaks is people saying she’s ruined the era with her “teams lack of security”. 

If you’re listening to the leaks then you’re ruining the experience for yourself. Those who haven’t listened to any leaks are enjoying this era coz nothing’s been spoilt and they’re hearing everything when Gaga’s team announces it, whether it’s premature or not. Just please stop moaning if you’re the one causing your misery

I agree with point 4 for so much: a lot of people act like they are forced to listen to the leaks. This happened when SL was officially released and some people said they had already played the leak so much they were already tired and burned of the song.. how is this Gaga's fault.

In a perfect world, this is admirable. But realistically, all these are impossible. Leaks will always be sought after, always. People just wanna listen to new music, especially if the artist have been gone for a couple of years or more, seldom actually have moral high ground. If you do tho, good for you. But majority doesn't. And that is just how it is.

The only person that can prevent the leaks are Gaga, her team, and her label. Do you see how swift were TaylorNation whenever something leaks? They don't play around. Or better yet, Yoncé's team for keeping all informations shut tight until she finally unleash it on her own terms. They are also not playing around. 

 

More over, most of the CHROMATICA era leaks, sans SL leaks, are the product of rushed postponement which is bad idea in itself. The album was supposed to released very soon before that happened. Everything were more than likely ready. All websites regarding to the album release have been getting the news and materials. The cover art, the tracklist, and more. She could have just let it released anyway. Cos controlling all these third party sites is impossible. Especially the smaller, family run businesses. Who are not likely get the updates anyway. Or just don't care. Cos they wanted to make business, especially in this uncertain times. But she didn't and suffer all these loses now.

She can still release the album quickly now. While she still have time. Cos if/when the album is leaking before she releases it, then it is over.

Exactly, I think that leaks are inevitable to a certain point and at that point Gaga and her team need to take some responsibility. Taylor Swift has been able to keep most of her music under lock and key for years now (and that's with secret sessions where fans get to hear the full album before release day). If Gaga wanted to contain the leaks I'm pretty sure she could.

A nice thought, but considering her security seems to be a piece of Scotch tape, and she herself has leaked her own music before, I doubt she really cares all that much. 

However, I do agree spreading them is wrong, which is why I don't. I listen, sure, can't help myself, but I'm not gonna spread them. 

And we should not be posting them on here.

I'm honestly shocked that some of you feel no accountability.

Sure, leaks happen, but we have the CHOICE not to spread the word. We have the CHOICE not to share it.

Objectively though, these leaks may not be a big deal. We all support her musically and financially, so the risk is perhaps low. Whether leaks are detrimental to the artist or not, that is another discussion.

But we WITHOUT A DOUBT are partially responsible in the cycling of leaked content.
