Ok guys. I'm gonna be harsh on that one, so before you read it remember that I love you.

Now...

You all wanted Gaga to release album ASAP since Joanne's release. She gave us The Cure in 2017 (Joane had ben for released less than a year at that point), to balance the serious country/rockish Joanne vibe. She's proven to you all that she was able to make a "trendy" song but still, there was a lot of complaints about not releasing a MV or promo (as If she wasn't shooting ASIB - a project which has made her the top pop artist once again, for the first time since 2011) at the moment. A year later she released Shallow and a little later the whole ASIB album, one of her best works imho. It was diverse, emotional, raw, pop, dance, great, terrible, boring, exciting. Everything within one cd (ok, there were two, I know). We all were happy about the amount of success during ASIB era, we were all cheering Shallow going #1, we were happy for her 4 ASIB Grammys, Oscar, Golden globe and the rest of the immense success. Every second day on GGD there was an "Achievement" marked thread.

And after maybe two-three weeks after Oscars you all seemed to forget that Gaga had just released new music and started moaning that you want a new album immediately.

SL is a club song, simplistic, joyfull, not any masterpiece. Rain On Me is going to be similar. Simple, no "real chorus", perfect to get drunk and jump in a club. This kind of music you get when your fave is working under the pressure of ungrateful fans, who do not realise how much their idol is working her a** off to write music, record vocals, perform live, promote a movie, get rest and keep up with vocal training and prepare for the next era, before starting shooting another movie (which I am dying to see).

I remeber a thread sying that the pandemic was Gaga's karma for not releasing the album sooner. If it is anyone's karma, it's ours for being impatient and having unreachable expectations towards a single human being.

So if Chromatica will sound cheap and rushed in your opinion, thank to yourselves. Meanwile, I will get drunk and shake my ass in a club to her new, "generic" music and hope she will do an gothic/opera album one day.

Lots of love (no irony here).

EDIT: For those, who cannot read it from my not-the-best English. It's not a crtitcism towards Gaga's new direction but a comment on other negative comments on this site towards the new material (SL and ROM leaks)

Ok, so are we supposed to bop to SL and ROM in clubs under a worldwide lockdown & national quarantines? :billie:

Chile this is about to become a sh!tstorm but I'm here to say I agree with you.

The only part I disagree with is that Stupid Love and Chromatica are in any way generic. SL may be pop but it doesn't sound like what's on the radio at all, and I doubt Chromatica will either. Although I assume you were mostly referring to fan perception then your personal opinion.

Xoxo, Victoria

It irks me that people complain that people are expecting her to do her job :rip: She is a pop artist, she isn't doing any favor for you or for me. Most of us have jobs in which we have work 8 hours daily, am I supposed to feel sorry for her having to go to a studio and do her job? :rip:

I love Gaga but some of you act like's being forced to work like a slave :rip:  Does she really work harder than the rest of us "normal" people?

I know I probably am going to get dragged to the pits of hell with this post but I don't care :bye:

Yes. That is exactly what I was referring to. Plus, this is not the kind of music I listen to for just listening, however I loved to have fun to it while I was in club after a couple of shots. I am here for it!

It will not sound rushed and cheap and her music never does.

She doesn't release music for people' sake and she never did.

Stop making assumptions before hearing more than 1 God damn song from the album.

Stream Stupid Love on Tiktok :huntyga:

Sickness

We’re allowed to express how disappointed we feel that the once most interesting popstar in the world is now making uninspired Calvin Harris music.

I, for one, welcomed C2C and Joanne as an extension of what Lady Gaga can be and to show how versatile she is. Loved ASIB and ARUTW is a favorite of mine out of her whole discography.

This is her “going back” to pop but we never stanned her for cheap generic beats and H&M fitting room choruses. It’s cute that she wanted to try 90s house but it could’ve been done without sounding like it belongs on The Realness by RuPaul.
