That's the best thing they could do, honestly. TBH, there was never a point in not releasing the album in the first place. It's gonna make Gaga look really dense / bad if they do release it in May because her original reason was that it wasn't the right time due to the virus...yet the virus is going to be just as bad if not worse in May, so delaying it a month literally accomplished nothing. So I think the whole point of the album delaying spectacle (because that's what it was, let's be honest) was that either they weren't finished with Chromatica and needed more time, or her record company didn't think they'd be able to successfully promote it in April. About the backlash thing, I get where you’re coming from but days are so long and a 2 month delay is plenty. Also, they could twist the whole kindness punks movement towards the current situation and pledge a portion of proceeds to support with COVID-19 research to continue on with what Gaga has been/is doing right now.
