Anyone else turned off by the kindness vibe?

I personally appreciate it, it’s one of the things I love most about her. It’s so important to spread kindness. It’s always been her message and has carried through her entire career, but the way she’s speaking on it now is only different in tone because of what she’s doing career-wise. Yes, Born This Way was a power statement of “I love me and we should all love each other,” and she’s still saying the same thing now, but the tone is going to be different when she’s promoting One World: Together At Home in the midst of a pandemic as opposed to the BTWB when she’s giving the “do you give a f***” speech. I’m sure you’re not surprised to hear me of all people saying this given my header and signature , but it’s something I believe in so fiercely, especially in the times we’re all living in.

Some people here are hating just to hate, but most I've seen are voicing respectful and constructive opinions about her delivery. It's easy to say everyone is hateful when you see hate in every comment.

You're misinterpreting my point entirely. I didn't say everyone was kind at all times, duh, that will never happen no matter how much everyone tries. I'm saying you don't fix hostile people by telling them to be kind. It's the same thing as telling an angry person to "be happy", or someone bad at something to just "do it better". Saying everyone should be kind is an obvious statement and it needs way more substance to be impactful.

I love the kindness message because I think it's very important that people be considerate of others and be more understanding of the different problems that we all face.

But I can also see why anyone would think it's a bit forced and over the top. Some people just don't vibe with something that appears sickly sweet and I do see how it can be perceived as cringy sometimes. 

But then I think of how Sarah Tanno is constantly bullied like when she does her weekly Instagram live chats and I think Gaga absolutely has to keep putting this message across. It might be a good thing for Gaga to lose some fans if they are the type to be overly negative.

I do think she can be a bit less vague about the message, that's one of the reasons I stan her though, because she does seem genuine about her message. We do need messages like this in the world nowadays.

You're talking about a woman who has told us multiple times about being bullied and raped resulting in severe PTSD and mental health issues. I don't know how you can say she doesn't back it up with substance.

Where did I say I learned from it? I'm in a thread where fans are complaining about a woman who has a kindness foundation wanting others to be kind.. I'm not gonna apologise for not catering to the madness. 

 

But you do you. Gaga knows all she can do is say it. 

 

 

You're totally polarizing the people in here like myself who are rationally existing within the grey area between your black/white dichotomy. Theres a difference between complaining and critiquing. I would argue everybody in this thread who has said something critical is obviously a fan of Lady Gaga at the end of the day if they're on this site you don't have to defend her to the death when there's no threat.

my issue is with how it's practiced on this forum. the kindness monsters on this forum make me cringe. you can't even critique the color of her hair without some dusty quoting u trying to "correct" u on kindness.

I didn't make this point in my other post, but I do think there might be a difference in how people are coming at this due to age. As a [somewhat rational] adult I don't really need the same message as teenagers who are engaging in cyberbullying or being inflammatory to get a reaction. She does have a lot of younger fans and interest an in youth organizations, so I would think there is some merit in having a simplistic message as a starting point there.

I think Gaga is an idealist and she dreams of a world where it's not dog eat dog with people stabbing each other in the back trying to one up each other. I think she believes she can make a change if she can be the one to get the ball rolling. I think she's really passionate about making a difference in this way.

I never said you or they weren't fans, did i? I just don't understand the complaint and/or criticism on this matter. It seems very pedantic and redundant when she's been saying it from the start of her career and has a foundation to support kindness yet here we are in 2020 and her fans are making threads to complain about it. 

And some of the fans on here were part of the bully pack that went after and continue to go after Sarah so I wouldn't say there is no "threat". Also, looking at the horrible comments on Gaga's post about cancelling her album or any given comment section about what she wears or her make up I wouldn't say the fandom is exactly innocent either.
