Mayabee 16
Kindness is still something the human race struggles to achieve so I appreciate the kindness theme.

And I hope it's Gaga's too but she has to be more PC about it. Also... Be careful cursing... I'd say, though, that Gaga's kindness conversation is missing some nuance. This medium article about kindness and justice puts it in words better than I ever could: https://medium.com/swlh/kindness-without-justice-efd66060d241 I liked that article, particularly the part about "Committing Not Random Acts of Purposeful, Structurally-Aimed Kindness" Actually, I think that Gaga plans to address that exactly with the Chromatica narrative... remember the "sleeping ones" mentioned at the beginning of SL? That definitely implies a future "don't turn to neutrality/inaction" message in a Silver Tribe video Could be mere wishful thinking of course! Glamourpuss 29,062
One thing we need to remember is that the message can come across as over done and like she's saying the same old thing over and over but we see everything she does. Of course it's going to grow old fast for us. She needs to keep repeating it to make sure more people get the message and it spreads around. After the concert on Saturday I read comments about it on Facebook from people who aren't even fans and they praised Gaga for bringing the world together and for doing something so thoughtful to raise money. There were Karens and Piers Morgan types who couldn't praise her enough. These are the types of people who would have dragged her before. It seems that she's really starting to make an impact with this and I don't want her to stop.
AJM 1,520
It’s a bit cheesy but it’s a more classier way of saying ‘don’t be a dickhead’ do you know what I mean 🙋🏼♂️
Mr S 8,672
I kind of agree too. Its fine for the charity stuff but I prefer more social commentary and something less vague to be talked about in her music like in her early years. This kind of sounds like those pageant girls and wanting world peace.
Santanasay 45
Honestly it’s a bit off putting but I can totally see where she’s coming from with everything going on politically & with the pandemic everyone’s just so damn edgy fear, uncertainty,& hate are running rampant it’s getting bananas 🍌 I feel the message is to be a rational human being not a bimbo door mat either I do wish she would slay us & lead by example instead of saying it every time we see her #BTW/ERA

A person can be very kind and compassionate at their core, but experience pain that can make it hard to be kind either to themselves or to others, at times. Not all the time. It’s part of being human. “Delete this thread that person is not Gaga he is a hot blonde twink”

She usually only has a few minutes with an interviewer to get her message across, whether she's promoting her music or acting or a charity/mental health topic, so of course she has prepared talking points and main things she wants to address, and if she does multiple interviews about the same thing, obviously things will be repeated! I'm fine with the way she talks about kindness. It may seem trite to some, I do understand that. But I personally think she is very genuine, and if she's not a perfectly polished public speaker I forgive it because she does back up her talk with action. Ronk 14,762
It's who she is. Kindness is part of her character as a person. She doesn't just talk about kindness, she lives kindness. She spreads kindness in as many ways as she can. She wants to change the world. If some people become kinder because of her, that plays forward and does change the world. She's on the right track. I applaud her for her efforts. I don't want her to change because she is doing what she firmly believes. She has every right to follow her heart. I live outside the space time continuum.
