Harris Walz 2024 1,451
I love miss Grace but I do not like her going after someone who did nothing to her. Just sits wrong with me.

She allowed for her creativity to indeed become her authenticity, and she rejected truth, stating she'd "prefer a giant dose of bullshit over the truth any day" - and this for me is what ironically made her authentic. It was inspiring. It was Warhol. It told me I could become anything I wanted to be, that I could "invent myself" and kinda re-write my past in order to manifest my desired-self into reality. Now, it's almost like she's forgotten that that's what she was always about - and honestly, she seems much more inauthentic now. I remember around the Joanne era, it really bugged me that she spoke a lot about being "real" in saying that she was finally baring her soul by stripping it all back, when in actuality - baring her soul was her being honest about her desire to become the superstar she finally became. It's like, once she became it (or I guess a little while after), she then adopted the views of a generic popstar in regards to what's "real" and what's not and disregarded the entire manifesto she once sold us that got her to where she always wanted to be - that told us we could do the same. Wow, say it louder please! For me personally: she was trying harder to become some vision of herself in Joanne era than any other part of time. Trying to fit into popstar world/ industry / your image as an artist is NOTHING like trying to be father’s daughter, etc. Nothing can compare to this core feeling of fitting as a child into family that she embodied. I think Gaga's personality was very detached during TF era. I remember her talking about wearing sunglasses in a lot of early interviews because they helped her feel less vulnerable/more comfortable and guarded. Her whole demeanor was similar to that Candy Warhol pop robot, which I think is what Grace Jones was getting at here. But if you paid closer attention to her, like a lot of us fans, you saw that wall come down as she came into prominence (esp around the Paparazzi phase). Lordeygogz 43
No, she wasn't And I find her music boring and also her personality, ithought she was a man who just talks sh*t to keep being relevant.
