not Chromatica 5,393
Gaga has personality for days, that's why she stuck for so long. I can bet that Grace met her while she was getting baked out of her mind every day which would kind of explain the 'soulless' appearance. I also think Gaga operates more from a drag queen perspective in terms of her persona, which is perfectly valid.

Queen Bitch 10,513
No. Also I think it's funny how, now that Grace Jones said a bad thing about Gaga she's suddenly "bitter" and "jealous". She drags everyone. Maybe she's just a bitch. God, Little Monsters need to cope with the fact that not everyone is going to like Gaga and it's not just because they're bitter and jealous. herassisfamous 1,405
I mean, look at her first ever interview and you can see that she used to stand for everything she stands for today. Acceptance, kindness and love. THAT never changed. Costumes and performances are her and her team's artistic choices that have changed throughout the journey. All we need is love
HausOfG 1,560
Grace Jones is a cult figure who most people see as this weird looking woman who terrifies interviewers. She had to remain "weird" and off kilter because she simply did not have the talent or looks to be successful in the mainstream. Gaga did. That doesn't mean Gaga is any less authentic. In fact, she is being completely true to herself and utilising her immense talent. People like Grace make me roll my eyes so much. Thinking they are the true artistes of the world while all they really are is butthurt that they don't have that type of wealth and acclaim. And the people who think they are cool and better than others by being her fan are even worse. They are so lodged up their own backside it's hilarious. I'm so glad Gaga didn't go this route. Like way worse than this.....I just know she shades nearly everyone, and some people enjoy it but honestly I find it tiring and a bit cruel. She's an icon and I still love her in some ways, but she needs to chill. She seriously does. It doesn't read as shade it reads as bitterness and cruelty. Not a good look This aint it chief Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.

She also does a slight English accent in most of Europe. I don't think it's a sign of inauthenticity; rather, an attempt to connect. Some people are naturally better than others at changing styles of speaking and accents. I am too. And I tend to naturally speak like the people around me. Maybe she does too. I do find it a bit weird that monsters fixate on a handful of people who have criticized Gaga, because it general she comes across as fairly well liked in the music industry. Off the top of my head (and there are more), the Stones, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Celine Dion, Cher, Tony Bennett, Patti LaBelle—all legends—have spoken very positively about her and/or performed with her. I mean, I can think of another big name who has been ripped way more by legends. Anyway, most of the criticism was years ago and mostly from a couple of people who are notorious for ripping/trashing nearly everyone. Like Boy George and Grace Jones are b*tchy in general towards nearly everyone...they weren't/aren't singling out Gaga...and I'm pretty sure Boy George has also praised her. Bowie also made a series of weirdly sexist remarks about other women around the time he very mildly criticized Gaga, and when he criticized Gaga he said something about her clothes and not wanting his young daughter to "look at that"....like he was a) a legend but b) I don't get why fans would get upset about a comment that frankly came across as misogynistic and c) he later wrote a note or some sh*t. Even if his comment wasn't couched in misogyny, who cares? It was mild as h*ll. TLDR; Some people are just b*tchy, some are misogynistic, some sincerely don't like Gaga, and for some it's probably a combination of factors...but fans need to let it go. And if it was Ava Max, there might be some truth in "bitterness" or "jealously"...but I don't think it's necessarily the case with the legends. Guest
People (and some fans) still dont understand Gaga.. Gaga never wanted to be a pop star, she was forced into that role because she was not accepted her as an artist. She decided to play the role record labels wanted, but tricked everyone and turned pop music it on its head. She used pop culture to make a statement. It was an interesting clever way to fight for her art and she was extremely passionate about it. She now fulfilled her goal, so its time for her to be herself. But I feel she is trapped by her past career and peoples expectations. She does not seem to enjoy what shes doing anymore and its making her depressed. She still havent find a balance which is why its hard for me to enjoy her recent work. ” I Wasn’t Here To Make Pop Music Better, I Was Put Here To Ruin It, Burst Its Bubble, Turn It Inside Out, Explode It And Vomit It All Over The World ” – Lady Gaga
