That's unrelated to this video, and the U.S. numbers are inaccurate. They are not counting anyone who dies at home and they aren't counting people who died because of a pre-existing condition that turned fatal because of the virus.

It isn't really unrelated to the video; The video is critical of the U.S healthcare system, my comment shows a benefit of it. Just because you don't like a post doesn't mean that it's irrelevant or unrelated.

I didn't say anything about disliking your post...? I just gave an honest response. Which I'm going to do again, as I normally do. 

There is zero evidence that the healthcare system in America has had any part in reducing the number of deaths here. If we're comparing the U.S. to Europe, we should also factor in that the U.S. is weeks behind most European countries except for the U.K. in terms of when the virus hit. Even if numbers for every country were accurate, it's expected that our numbers will be lower than most of Europe's numbers until the virus dies down in Europe. 

Having healthcare in America isn't tied to this virus because testing is free, and there is no cure. Speaking of testing, we are 31st among all countries when it comes to testing per capita. We have the most tests, but the least tests when comparing test numbers to population count.

And since there is no cure, health insurance plays no role in deciding who dies and who doesn't. I just don't see where you're coming up with your position on this. What correlation are you drawing between the death numbers and private health insurance? Please help me be better informed.

It’s scary how y’all compete about which country has less people dying. Critiquing one nations health system isn’t doing anyone any favors. It’s very petty. We’re all in a very unfortunate position. Can’t we leave it at that?

Doctors will prescribe medication regardless of the patient's access to that healthcare. And they will do so without regard to whether the patient can afford it. Which shouldn't really be a question. On the other hand doctors will jump through a lot of hoops to get patients the most affordable medication, and although the intentions of the doctor are good, it showcases a hole in the healthcare system.

Hospital: Anyone can get tested. You're only admitted if the virus is risking your life.

Ventilators: If you're on a ventilator, you're already expected to be killed by the virus. The ventilators aren't saving most people on them. I've actually not seen a single story about the ventilators saving anyone, just keeping them alive longer. If you're at the point of needing a ventilator, they would have to help you even without insurance, since it is mandated by law that hospitals can not turn away someone if it's a matter of life and death.

Medication: There is no medication that is specific for this virus.

Overall: Why would any of these things be different if we had health insurance that isn't tied to employment?

The video argues that it's bad that 22 million people are out of work right now and that most of them don't have health insurance since they are out of work. Your argument appears to be, essentially, "But the healthcare exists, so it's fine even though people are losing it."

Competing about death numbers has nothing to do with the OP. I was just responding to that person's awkward AF comment.
