You need 3 weeks to make room for your next pop radio single. Ladies, get ready... How exactly do they “pull” songs from radio? Do they call stations and say “Please stop playing this song”? Lol. I don’t understand this. I get the not pushing with advertising, etc. But “pulling” I don’t get.

RickMonster98 7,462
I just can't understand why they had to pull off SL from radios couldnt they give it one last push there (to ensure the Top 10 on US pop radios) + release remixes today is it that necessary to have a 2-3 weeks gap before a new radio single? i don't think so at this point i don't think ROM is coming anytime soon

Stations basicly need to stop playing a song when its 'pulled'. Otherwise they have to pay the label for each spin. Things can get worse tho. For example one radio programmer kept playing 'Judas' when it was pulled , and has been in jail ever since. This is all true.
