Even if airplay didn't translate that much into people buying/streaming SL it still might help Gaga to create interest in the album itself. I am curious where Chromatica debuts in those markets...

Radio in Germany is very important as advertising. Huge radio usually leads to big pure sales, hence why SL is still relatively high on iTunes despite being OUT everywhere else. Also album sales are hugely effected by radio airplay so hitting #1 now and Chromatica coming in two weeks could maybe even mean a huge album debut here. My dream is fro Gaga to have another #1 album

Ok ladies

She has radios

She has interests from the GP (Stupid Love debuted #2 on Spotify US it's a HUGE deal for her)

Gaga just needs the right song and then BAM ! a Shallow teas is on the way ladies

I agree with this, hopefully Rain On Me can click with the GP. The screechy shouty way too in your face final chorus does not give me much faith however.

Yeah, I'm sure here in Europe most of the GP could assume that SL was a hit if they heard it that much on the radio.

And not gonna lie, knowing we have ROM (and possibly more digestible songs) incoming, I'm not mad at SL ending as a radio hit only. Yeah, it would be fine to have a song smashing all metrics but I think at the age of 34 she "needed" more a radio hit than a sales/streaming hit only (which she already achieved last year anyway).

Well, looking at the impact on sales/streaming, how could we blame him :billie:

I'm so happy a Gaga's song got this support on EU radios though. Like, UK, Germany and Italy (along with France) are probably the biggest European markets, going #1 on radio in 3/4 of those countries is huge for her!

One thing that I'm really happy about is the fact that Gaga has slowly, but surely gained back our radios' respect, and attention to even be added to their most important playlists :nooo:

People are genuinely here for her this time around, and don't want to fail on the European success of her dance-pop comeback, I'm so freaking happy :bradley:

Apparently the German charts are not letting 6ix9ine chart again with GOOBA, despite being top-five on iTunes, Spotify & AM, just like they previously did Dummy Boy.

One day I'd like to know why the public abandoned Katy Perry after Prism... Is it because of the new artists?  Is it because  the change of direction with Witness?
The fact that she started flopping after cutting her hair... no words.

It's really scary how a career can go from top to half flop so easily.
