If a song is a collab, it'll receive attention on the album release day because people are gonna be curious and have a reason to listen to them over the solo songs. There's gonna be 14 of them and the GP is more likely to listen to zero than to all of them. She could have done a countdown like with ARTPOP, when she released a new song every one of the three weeks that lead to the album release. Besides SL, the only prealbum single we're gonna have is ROM, a collab with Ariana which a song that's gonna receive a lot of attention. I wish she released a couple of solo songs as promo singles through the months, Babylon and Free Woman or whatever songs they were, and then ROM as a single simultaneoulsy with the album. I am starting to think its actually because they don't want to put people off (lol) i think it is an easy way to maximise your first week streams - if no one has heard or knows anything about a 16 track album, your fan base are gonna eat that in the first two days even if GP don't. If the album is good, it'll have a viral effect on it, through WOM at least.
