I live in Australia and people haven't been following instructions and staying home. The reason it isn't spreading here like it is in Europe and USA is because of how big the country is and how far spread out people are, not only that but the hot climate makes it harder for the virus to survive. Australia has a population of 25 million, compare that to UK that is 67 million and is smaller that Australia's smallest state.

Completely agree, I live in Western Sydney and people aren't taking it serious. I am working from home and our family is taking it serious but the amount of bs I hear and see online and even our neighbours having parties.... I don't even live in the slum area either. That's the worst part.

I agree with you and my family and I are taking it seriously too but there are some specific people that are not keeping the rules.

"[data showed] Australians were only moving around at a rate of 13 percent of normal -- a sign people were staying home and not travelling."

It's just not realistic.

It's not realistic for The United States Of Disorganisation, but the data for Australia says otherwise. 0 cases are brought in to the country with complete international and domestic travel shutdown, one of the highest testing rates per capita in the world, 13% of normal movement recorded and community transmission at less than 2%.

We are literally no where near flattening the curve. We're still going to be in this lockdown for another 3 months at least. :toofunny:

Australia is crap.

It's concerning you cannot decipher that curve and time in lockdown are two different things. The curve peaked in late March and has literally been flattening for two weeks. Government data, not emotions, sweetie:

Australian life might be crap from your perspective, but Australia is literally doing better than any other developed country in the world. Even twice as good (per capita) as South Korea who the world are heralding as a great success.

Lord Temptation

People are forgetting the ELEPHANT in the room: We only just got out of summer. And one of the hottest on record. And, Australia has a hot autumn.

Sure, we are doing well globally but that’s only because cold and flu season hasn’t even started. We need to remain vigilant, as I feel that we are only in the eye of the storm.

I think the last few weeks have only been a warning. The real test will come in May-September.

Take a shot every time you post those graphs. I'm well on my way to tipsy.

No one cares for your patronising behaviour, sweetie.
