Better songwriter

I would say both are on the same level, totally different but I think both have an equal number of strenghts and weaknesses.

However, it is sometimes hard to judge because big stars get songwriting credit even when they just change two lines, so we never know who actually wrote what.

I did notice that Taylor has complex lyrics where she keeps everything understandable and clear, whereas Gaga goes into more abstract territory that can either be interpreted as high art or meaningless mumbo jumbo, so on that note I prefer Taylor's style.
