Shelving an era? God I can't with this fanbase. They aren't going to waste money like that on an album.

This

I can't with people on here and Twitter acting like the only thing Gaga can do now, is to not release Chromatica... Obviously she's gonna release it sooner or later.

And news like this back me up when I say that Gaga was less than smart to postpone the album because "there are people suffering"... What if this whole corona crisis lasts until (mid) 2021? Is she gonna wait THAT long?

Imo she should just release it in 1-2 months and promote it online like every other artist. She can promote her next album with surprise Coachella appearances, etc. once the virus is gone.

Exactly. It's getting released regardless, but we may have to accept there is a chance we won't really have an "era" to go with it, which absolutely breaks my heart, but is totally understandable.

I really wish that she could postpone the album release until summer and then promote it the way she wanted to, but by the looks of it, the pandemic is gonna be around for a loooong time. And it would be very dumb to wait out until the pandemic is over, so she probably only wants to wait until the curve is flattened and things start to get better (which could be summer or fall this year)

Like this is expected tho. We can flatten the curve but we need vaccine to end it.

Act II and LG5 say hi.

Judas is coming, let the cultural baptism begin.

The French President just announced that massive gatherings like concerts might start again in mid-July. Of course this is an evolving situation, but as of now, the Chromatica Ball could still happen in Paris.

Even if she shelved Chromatica - which is 100% not happening - it would be very different from Act 2 & LG5.

Honey, 20 000 people died in the US already. You seriously think only 40 000 persons are going to die in the next couple of months?! At the rate we're going, we'll probably be at 60 000 dead americans by the beginning of May.

First off don’t call me honey. Second of all, watch press conferences by local elected officials that go off data and statistical models that change every day. I’m literally relating what THEY said the new projections are. My point here are early projections and models have been wrong the entire time this virus has been in the news and they always give the worst possible projections to ensure people take this seriously. Projecting something like  when concerts will return is an impossibility right now. That’s not brain science “honey.”  :awkney:

mortality rates are not raw figures showing how many people will die.

they operate like any other statistical probability. they are a % of a % of a %. In a large crowd, there’s a ~87% chance you’ll contract corona. If you do contract corona there’s a ~4% chance of it being serious. If it is serious there’s a roughly ~1.8% chance of you dying.

Obviously not trying to downplay it, but I am trying to ease the collective anxieties a “2% mortality rate” may cause.

It’s so nice seeing educated monsters on here. Seriously. Gives me hope for this forum :kara:

Well France/Macron said concerts/music festivals will be allowed starting mid july this year if everything goes like planned 2 hours ago....

So what’s the truth :billie:

Tbh I doubt mid july this year but also fall 2021.... it will be somewhere between that, probably Q1/Q2 2021

I'm pretty sure it's not going to be that late but I don't think concerts/shows with a large audience will be allowed this summer at all and thank f*ck for that, I know for some of you this is terrible news but someone's life will ALLWAYS be a lot more important than this. Even if Gaga was planning to come in my country this summer for example, I totally would not have go to her show because the risk is too much and I'm pretty afraid that this virus will k*ll me.

At the end of the day, the worlds economies have to function, and that includes entertainment and sport- banning everything indefinitely wont work- people wont be prepared to live that way and these things generate alot of cash and therefore tax for govts, all of whom have to pay for all of this and bailing out airlines etc

By all means be careful, but what happens when we hit flu season in October- everything gets shut down again? There will always be something else coming along.
