Gaga’s worst album?

i enjoyed joanne when it came out, it didnt bother me that she had this cowgirl thing going on, and country influence i enjoyed all of that but now after 4 years it aged like milk for me, i dont really listen to joanne stuff and find it boring, so now looking at all her previous eras and albums it would have to be joanne for me

Joanne. The album just seemed so uninspired and half of the songs don’t fit the theme. For me Joanne felt like « I don’t want to release an album but I have to, so I’ll just give you a bunch of slow, country ballads and fall back on being an « Italian girl who is the daughter of a father of a sister of a mother of a grandmother »

The Fame is a great Dance / Pop record and it will remain undefeated on its genre, but if I have to compare it with its successors, I can only vote for it. The other four are untouchable for me.

Joanne could’ve been her best album had Ronson produced it like he does most of his solo recordings

The problems I have with the ARTPOP album are as follows, note that this is only my opinion and that I enjoy and listen to the album regardless, it's just my least favourite:

-I was disappointed in the finished product (I prefer the demos or iTunes Festival versions of Aura, Venus, Sexxx Dreams, MANiCURE).

-I don't like the title of the album. We all know that Gaga makes Art or uses Art. And having it explicitly as an album title ruins it a little in my opinion.

-I don't like the album cover. I hate the colour tones used on it. It's visually very charged yes, probably meant to be, but would have been interesting with a more minimalistic approach or different tones of colours. The promo photo of her in brunette with the mask was 100x better 

Now for what surrounded the album...  I wasn't happy with the choice of singles though and some of her live performances looked a bit messy, desperate. Artrave was a bit messy, too cute, I thought some of the costumes were hideous. 

I loved the pre-era, I loved the iTunes Festival so much that I bought it on iTunes, some of her looks were epic, I wish some the tracks were given a chance on the radio.

Joanne. It's a solid record but doesn't really do what it intends to. The song that captures the essence (although it's arguable whether an album can have a particular essence) is the title track, and the piano version is even better (for me, the Grammy-winning piano ballad is among Gaga's top ten songs so far, it's just genius). The album doesn't transport the listeners to the parallel world of Joanne. Whereas ARTPOP IS able to take the listeners on an electronic exhausting ride. And C2C and ASIB soundtrack come only after TFM/BTW. They are THAT good.

A lot of songs are not ageing well imo, I like the concept and some songs are awesome but it's her less cohesive record.

I’m in between of The Fame and ARTPOP. I chose The Fame because I don’t listen to it anymore, but as an era, The Fame is legendary. I didn’t choose ARTPOP, because the album has still songs that I very much enjoy, but as an era it wasn’t that well executed.

ARTPOP is her less cohesive album, but The Fame is her worst in terms of content: it was awesome for a debut, but that's it, hits aside.

I would've said the ASIB soundtrack for me, but since it isn't one of the options and in my mind it really is more an Aly album than Gaga's... I think maybe Joanne? I love the album, but I don't go out of my to listen to it like the others.

I don't think any of her albums are bad tho, so I'd say it's just the least good.

ARTPOP

The demos are interesting but the final album just sounds so off.  I remember when Gaga was hyping us to use get headphones for the album... but it sounds so flat and meh.  I hate that the album has so much potential but it just doesn’t take off in my opinion.
