I received a copyright claim for using DWUW in YouTube video

I made a silly video once to share it on gagadaily to get laughs. Although the thread flopped, the unlisted video has gotten 100 views somehow (formation who) and after over a year of upload I received this message today.

 

 

But before I ran to delete the video to save my 2 subscribers backed youtube empire, I noticed the name of the song they claimed. And whooaaahhhhhhhhh!!

I cracked the code. I found the truth in ha red lipstick!! THERE IS AN OFFICIAL NON R KELLY VERSION OF DWUW ON YOUTUBE!!! Isn't that's how content ID works. You have to have the content uploaded so that it can detect duplicates on youtube. Or am I missing something here.

you don't need to have the official thing as a video on youtube for them to have the ID, I'm not sure exactly how they would have it in their database but I've had a copyright notice for music which isn't on youtube itself

Isn't it only the Christina Agelada version on streaming services though? I haven't seen the solo version on there

The song has been released officially, but only on 2 compilations of "Now that's what I call MUSIC" or whatever, one of them from Spain. According to Gagawiki they're radio compilations, so apparently the song went on the radio...

I think the compilations are on Spotify, but it's the only unavailable song  (Didn't check iTunes though)
