I understand why but a lot of people seem to equate being conservative with being homophobic when that isn’t the general case. My family is very conservative and I consider myself to be as well, but it’s just how we view things economically. In terms of social views, like gay rights my family and I are 100% supportive and so are many other conservatives.

Yes they exist but I do not understand. I do not understand how someone can fundamentally remain friends with someone who supports Trump.

Support for Trump and conservatives in general does not align with the LGBT community. The GOP has for years attempted to put us down and have enacted policies that put our lives at risk. If you are friends with a Trump supporter you need to re-evaluate your life choices. Sorry. You can’t have it both ways.
