However, any one of us could go on Amazon and have a HL lipstick delivered to our house in a few days. The convenience of Amazon prime wasn't worth the exploitation of workers before COVID and it certainly isn't now. Further, Jeffree Star Cosmetics and numerous other companies, like Net-a-Porter, have suspended shipments to protect their non-Amazon warehouse workers. I assure you non-Amazon workers are just as pissed to fulfill your makeup order. What don't you understand? They’re not even HL employees, it’s a warehouse in Mississippi Most are probably glad to still have a job because the US government isn’t paying everyone to sit at home and do nothing like some other countries are. I’ve received about 10 emails in the past two weeks and each of them have been advertising a sale of some sort. Lots of beauty companies have suspended operations, incl. Jeffree Star, who hasn’t been generating special sales and “buy 2 get 1 free” offers. Do you think there’s a moral aspect to this? So you think businesses should stop trying to operate their business? Lots of people are wearing make up just to feel more normal and help their mental health. Sarah even said in her live that it was Gaga who inspired her to get properly dressed and fix her hair and make up every day because she saw her doing it in their facetime calls. It's a bit ignorant to say people only wear make up to show it off to other people. It really is a tool that people use for self care. I'm not much of a make up person but I straightened my hair for the first time in a month last week and felt all the better for it. And obviously you will feel better if you aren't going around like a zombie.
