You mean Look What You Made Me Do and Ready For It era ? Cause everything after that was a non-event.

1989 was far more iconic. It started with the worldwide shock, β€œTaylor Swift was now switching to bop” viaΒ a highly addicted single, SIO. As soon as, she conquered the chart, she released Blank Space, which was a cultural phenomenon. She keptΒ the momentum going withΒ a bunch of headline with Bad Blood and Style.Β

Not to mention, her secondΒ AOTY speech was addressing Kanye’s 2009 incident just for Kanye released famous two months after.Β
Β

Reputation hadΒ a enormousΒ start but losing hypesΒ at the end.Β

Please ignore the spelling in username. I am a Beyonce stan afterall.

1989 was flawless. literally a well planned, written, visualised and produced perfection.

Now this one, I agree with.

IΒ couldn't agreeΒ with youΒ more. PLUS imagine the lack of promotion, no interviews yet it made her more successful.Say nothing and let the art speak for itself. Ugh her mindΒ :enigma:
I'm a flop taylor fan tbh, I became a fan during 1989, idk all about her ex lovers but I learned about the feuds she got into,Β  what the media is saying about her, in short (became a cultured swine). But when rep came out, WOW, I love how she "gave usΒ what the media wantedΒ us to see her." What a concept. I still listen to reputation like it was a new release, I still get hyped.Β :gum:

Red, 1989, andΒ Reputation are Taylor's holy trinity.

I really can not decide which one I like better but I loved the dark aesthetics in ReputationΒ

It’s eerily similar to ARTPOP, althoughΒ musically less bold and idealistically less artsy, theΒ wayΒ that it took a negative public image and attempted to confront that with the music, as well as being front loaded/less successful than the previous era... it reminded me very much of it.Β

Reputation is by far my favoriteΒ album by Taylor.

The stadium tour is insane, but the only good video is LWYMD.Β

I actually think that if we’re talking about the ERA, reputation had a lot of missed opportunities.

But yeah the era wasn’t the best

Before I proceed, is this a thread purely for people to agree or is this a thread open for discussion for all opinions?

Trying not to ruffle any feathers.Β

I adoreΒ the reputation era. I wish desperately I could have seen the tour, it looks like it was legendary. reputation has some of my favorite songs of hers (Getaway Car, New Year’s Day, King Of My Heart, etc.)

I will say, if even possible, I do love Lover even more, I think everyone should really give it the proper chance it deserves because it has countless gems. reputation was the first time I truly got into Taylor though, listening to the whole album as opposed to just the singles. I look back on that album so fondly. Let’s also just acknowledge the fact that Getaway Car could have had an insane and legendary cinematic music videoΒ :bradley:
