The song will probably have biblical references, and Gaga released Judas on Easter of 2011. What if Gaga does the same thing this year? Is Gaga going to be a controversial queen again? :ohwell:

No she's not controversial anymore she's a kountry kween and America's favorite Italian woman. Also this is just a BAD idea... Queen never does the same things twice.

she wouldn't do it for sure. She has worked her Ass off for years to brand her image as a kindness punk and not be center of unnecessary chaos.

After hearing the snippet, I’m hoping Babylon pulls a Good Friday... except this time never making it to Easter Sunday.

It's not realistic. In a contest like this, with a virus that is killing thousand of people every day it would be a dumb idea. Plus, she's not like this anymore.

Nah...Gaga isn't reaching for controversy anymore...she just wants to be a more "normal" pop star with her own twist on things lol

She won't release anything off Chromatica until she feels the time is right to. Releasing the week before the One World Broadcast too would also be very self-serving of her and would not be received well by the media/people in general. So no.

It would be weird to release a song with the line "Battle for your life" during a global pandemic.

Back in the day she could do that stuff bc she was a new girl and shock was part of her brand. She got criticized for the controversy but it got people interested and intrigued. Judas was a successful song despite the backlash from religious people. But when an artist reaches a certain amount of time in the industry, controversy does more harm than good. She’s understandably moved away from that bc it’s not necessary anymore. That’s why ARTPOP got her so much backlash and why she decided to stop the shock factor in her music. She doesn’t need it anymore.

It would also be awful if she released a song like that right when she’s organizing a global event and raising money for a good cause. Totally out of left field.
