Well... :ladyhaha:. It's her body anyways, if she thinks black women's aesthetic looks great, and thinks of those features as desirable for herself, I cannot judge that.

People literally change their gender now. She wants to look darker, who cares, at the end of the day that's her body and she's harming no one.

I do not think this is the same as cultural apropriation. It's her body and her skin, we can't tell people how to feel comfortable with themselves, that's not our place.

In a way, it’s no different at all to Beyonce bleaching her skin in the past, or black women wearing denim jeans and blonde wigs. Blonde ain’t black.

tbh, cultural appropriation pisses me off. I wish everyone would stop needlessly trying to cause division, and accept each other. Absorb each other’s culture, embrace it, feel it, love it, breathe it. No double standards, no pathetic crying over a hairdo. I really don’t get it sometimes. We go through apartheid and slavery, come out on the other side, just for conservative white people to continually be racist ****s and black people to continually hold the past against white people. Leave that **** in the past. Much of it affected their forefathers, not themselves personally, and while racism is still at large, everyone needs to work towards a better future without this bullshit. I’ll get called all sorts of names for this potentially controversial opinion, but when that black girl gets a BLONDE WEAVE, let her work the **** out of it. When that white chick across your street gets BLACK CORNROWS, leave her alone too. In Bhad Bhabie’s case, she may gone a little extreme (however, all I see is an over-dark tan and straight dark hair), but people allowed her to go that far the end of the day. And she may be dumb, but they allowed her to and are now vilifying her, instead of educating her. I dunno. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I still don't like her anyways, but whatever

Your point?

There isn't a point it's a hair style people need to let this go. Just thought you should know something though. Bhad Bhabie has made it clear that she steals from black culture for clicks and like ALL THE TIME. Gaga on the other hand doesn't do that... EVER. there isn't a comparison to make here.

That first paragraph YIKES. AND NO its not the same because skin bleaching is a form of assimilation. White people don't have to deal with that.

Black people can naturally have blonde hair what tf u mean blonde ain't black duh..... BLONDE ISN'T BLACK BECAUSE IT'S BLONDE:smh: You need to take a biology class sis.

She doesn't look black idgi? Like her skin tone in those photos/videos isn't much darker than her real tone...

The wig is straight and likely similar to her natural colour.

Sure her lips are bigger than natural but that's now like the international beauty standard. So I don't see how this is blackfishing in any way...

I hope people can see my raw honesty in that. I want a world where everyone can embody and embrace everyone’s culture, because after all, we’re all different. But cut our veins open, we all pour the same blood & DNA. I want that black girl from urban Chicago to get herself a straight blonde weave without discrimination as much as I want a white girl to visit Jamaica and get black braids without being harassed. I remember watching when hip hop started to get huge a few years ago + Kendrick Lamar asked a white fan to sing his song live on stage. His song had the N word(**** knows why, it’s an awful word) and she rapped it in front of thousands, and he humiliated her for it. That should not happen. That’s vile. also think that is some of the conceptual idealogy Gaga wants to portray through Chromatica and the tribes, accepting people’s differences... but I could be wrong 🤷🏼‍♀️

Why is this a problem? But why when Michael Jackson did the other way around nobody seems to have a problem?

I agree in 100%.
I would like all racism, but also blackface to disappear.

Unfortunately, there are many black people who take advantage of the current situation and often rip the victims or pull the facts into their favor.
There are also many white people who are still unable to accept a black person or scoff at him/her in 2020.
Both extremes are bad. Like any extremity

Wasn’t trying to say blacks CANT naturally have blonde hair, my mistake. I was saying it’s synonymous with white people, like cornrows and braids are with ethnics. Don’t sit there and play dumb when I just wrote some profound eye-opening **** on here that was meant to bring a sense of hope and come togtherness 😂😂😂 i passed my biology principles assignments at uni, I don’t need to study ****. If you wanna get nitpicky, I got an A* in English Language and a paragraph does not consist of only two sentences, no matter how big the gap is. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

after this argument I'll just leave this thread lmao

y'all have to be more sympathetic towards other minorities because the minute the issue is about LGBT rights there's an army ready to fight the system but the minute it isn't about the gay cis people just drop off these HORRIBLE ARGUMENTS (like this one I quoted) and act like it's not their problem :billie:

Synonymous with white people but anyone can have it? I never said I have anything against white people having any hair style they want. So you ignored most of what I said picked out your favorites then gave me an English lesson...... on top of that missed my point lol. Anyways I just noticed your avi so nvm I won't argue. :smh:

I'm just asking. Why? She doesn't do anything inapproriate or mocking black people.

Racism is ****ing awful. I get upset with the thought that if I get too passionate about black rights and black people may find it...fake, or self serving, or, “privileged”, simply because I haven’t “lived their life”. All I know is I am deeply sorry that many of my ancestors probably tortured theirs and I feel sick to my bone thinking about it. I cringe when I hear the N word in countless rap songs now, like it’s some EMPOWERING word... If anyone knows the dark evil & sickening history of that word, they wouldn't be saying it. Can’t pretend to understand that. There’s a lot of faults on both sides in 2020, and I wish it would stop. People like Trump giving platforms to specific groups does NOT help. Also, I don’t blackface is that prevalent in 2020 haha
sorry i’m drunk, self isolating & now going to bed 💗
