I would like to dismiss this narrative of “now everyone should be banned or unstan for being upset about the delay.” First of all, most of y’all who complained or were upset are the ones saying that now and are singing a very different tune from a few weeks ago. Second of all, idk why any of us are shocked at this announcement. This was confirmed by multiple sources for over a week and it was clear she was organizing something with COVID. There’s an argument to be made that she could’ve easily released an album with themes related to dancing through the pain on time and promoted at a later date. We’ve heard it several times since the delay was announced. Several other artists have either released songs or albums and none of them got flack for releasing during this time. I’m more than content that this month she’ll probably be silent on the album and promote this event and I’m proud of her and proud to be a fan. But I’m sick of the little voices of morality and conscience of GGD belittling fans still upset about the delay.
 

Not everyone was calling her names and disrespecting her when the delay was announced. Nor were they all sitting there and calling her names or malicious, and those fans continued to get grouped with the rest of us. They/we were just genuinely upset the one thing to look forward to during these dark times was the album. And while the virtual event is something to look forward to, it doesn’t make me any less sad about not getting the album. That doesn’t make me “ungrateful” or whatever other words some of the more toxic users want to call people on here. People can still be sad while simultaneously being proud of Gaga for this event she is planning. I couldn’t help but notice a lot of “everyone who said blah blah should x” and it’s not right. Let people have different opinions on this site once.

I read what you wrote, it was a whole lot of unnecessary whining anyways . You're not having a completely unnecessary meltdown about "A", you're instead having a completely unnecessary meltdown about "B", now that's such a difference . 

That's my point, every day there's negative threads about literally everything. If it's not about GaGa herself, it's about the fanbase, it got old, OMG .

it's totally just music. And I'm a big big fan. It's still just music. 

We must not be sad for that. If we feel sad it's because we have other reasons to feel sad and we are projecting them. And of course I carry a bit of resentment too (I know what a new Gaga record means).

Of course Gaga is an antidepressant. But the best at this point is just knowing she's happy with her guy and that she wanted to make something for the world (and that her cover is the most beautiful she ever had). It's just enough. We can sincerely wait for new music few month more. 

edit : though it's important that we share our emotions and they are all valid.

I 100% agree with you. I was/am incredibly sad about the postponement of the album. I felt like it was something to look forward to while we're all at home while a pandemic is shaking all of our world. I get the delay. I really do. But that doesn't mean we aren't allowed to be a little sad about it. We can support her and her decision AND be disappointed about not getting the album on Friday. It also isn't right for people to suddenly turn on her because of this decision, but for people who have done this, we have to understand that things are really intense right now and they might just be lashing out because of the stress we're all under right now.

I'm sad. We're all sad. I wanted to have it now because it would be a relief from everything right now. But we'll get it soon and at least we have the festival to look forward to now. She's doing a great job at helping people during this crisis and I'm proud of her for that.
