Chromatica era worse than ARTPOP era?

ARTPOP was a mess x100. It was very bad, Gaga seems to be more in control and set with her plans right now. There was too much mismanagement and Gaga had way too many ideas hence the amount of fails like Volantis, the app, Act II, the single rollout was messy af, SXSW, the intense backlash, her pretentiousness, and she clearly wasn’t doing ok mentally. All of this was just very sad to witness as a fan. All of you can be dramatic about this era, but it’s honestly been pretty calm. The only major mess I can think of was the leak. With this delay we can confirm Gaga is much more focused this time around with what she wants to do.

I find the ARTPOP era very iconic. I loved her acting which you call pretentiousness. I loved the messy single roll out and I loved the mismanagement. What a lot of people here don’t understand is that ARTPOP was a big middle finger to the music industry and her own label. It was just so abstract that most of the people thought she was strange and over. But in Fact she even promoted herself as a “fallen artist”. 
 

The concept of CHROMATICA and Stupid Love itself seems flat to me at the moment but let’s see what she has in stores.

Oh I do agree that it was iconic, and I don’t particularly think she was being pretentious, but that’s how it came off for locals and critics. But it really was very mismanaged and I don’t believe it was intentional. The DWUW/Venus mess and the failed projects and the constant backlash were painful to witness and Gaga was also clearly not in a good place mentally. So in retrospect it’s iconic but wasn’t very pleasant to live through.

What I meant is that this time around Gaga seems to have a more clear vision and direction of what she wants to do. And also she has the audience and the critics on her side again, which means no constant backlash. And she seems to be in a better state of mind. So overall this points out to be a more organized era.

Lack of promo isn’t what I’d consider a mess, the Babylon leak was just a snippet and never leaked in full or in HQ. The lack of communication isn’t what I’d call messy either, and the Fallon appearance and Joe’s situation are completely separate from the era. The only messy thing that has happened was the Stupid Love leak.

It was supposed to be the best since BTW if corona mess didn't happen. She was going to give us everything we wanted including surprise performances and iconic featuring.

For now it’s basically the worst Era, we haven’t got to see her at all in public and we don’t even know her direction in terms of fashion and music and visuals, i don’t think SL represent the rest of the album tbh, especially after seeing the cover. Also i was really disappointed with SL. But if the era is indeed on hold and she’ll reprise it sometime in a very good way, this era could be basically be an improved ARTPOP. Meaning, very similar music and possibly fashion but she doesn’t get any hate from the GP.
