The same reason Taylor, Justin’s, Selena’s, Katy’s, and EVERYONE ELSE’S lead single’s saw 50%-80% declines in pure sales when comparing their 2016/17 releases to 2019/20. The decline of digital music. Why did SL debut with 19.7 million streams, a 130% increase from PI’s streaming debut? Hmmmmmm maybe just maybe it’s because streaming is bigger. Check out what Taytay's Me!, Ariana's TUN, Katy Perry's (wait there ain't no KP album but even CTTR did 108k downloads) did as lead singles and we'll talk. There ain't no decline in digital music. There's a decline in physical music. Streams have been counting as sales. 20M streams for a lead single by Gaga, in this time, after ASIB, with streaming being that thing, according to yourself, is embarrassing given the promotion that was rolled out on a massive scale to get people to watch the video. Her big comeback return to pop music. PI's streaming debut... what should I say.. that was also a bad lead single. Hate me all you want but SL ain't a hit and it won't be a hit. Well I am glad that Gaga voodoo is catching up with miss peep now. A top 5 hit is not a hit. But let’s see how you would say to defend miss Dua when FN is not even top 2 pulling less 60k next week. Please ignore the spelling in username. I am a Beyonce stan afterall.

What makes these crtics' opinions more valuable than any other person's opinion? The fact that they are employed by publications with sizable readership? Generally, the best albums don't sell under 50k... plus taste is subjective and while hired magazine writers may have loved it, it doesn't mean that suddenly its a great album. You value their opinions too much just because they work for "Billboard" or because 10 reviews gave it a 90 metacritic score End Racism Now

You were talking about declines so I showed you the declines. LWYMMD to ME! -50% WDYM to Yummy -80% CTTR to NRO -71% PI to SL -43% That is quite literally a decline in DIGITAL music. Those are comparing numbers from the literal DIGITAL SONG SALES chart. And you’re absolutely wrong. SL’s streaming debut in the US was fine. It was a Top 10 streaming debut. Since you’re much more intelligent and well versed than me when it comes to charts could you provide me with the proper increase Gaga should have seen from PI to SL? PI’s streaming debut: 8.3 million Shallow’s streaming debut: 8.3 million Shallow’s 2nd week: 15.3 million Stupid Love’s debut: 19.7 million (+130% from PI and Shallow, and +30% from Shallow’s 2nd week which was when the movie came out) Perched for your numerical analysis.
