It's only SEA + digital sales I think. Even though the release was pushed forward my cd and vinyl are still coming April 3rd. So maybe first-week physical sales will count for next week. That could explain the low number.

HITS Daily Double never exclude SEA or digital sales.

SEA and digital are definitely included in the 50k. But I think that the physicals (cd + vinyl) aren't available until April 3rd, at least the ones I ordered aren't, so they only count for that week. That's why the number may be so low, because the album is only available on ITunes and streaming. I may be wrong, though.

They shipped it, but it got shipped back

People blaming low sales when Dua's debut never entered the top 20. :rip:

Gaga would have been fine.

Wait, I just checked it and it's true. It only peaked at 27. I'm shocked :udidnt:

The album is underwhelming. So many of these tracks sound the same...

Yes, I think so too, although 2—3 songs are not bad. Only Gaga can constantly surprise and release completely new material that is not similar to the previous one, and this is why she is loved.

Dua is not a major artist in the US, Idk why anyone finds this surprising?

She is super big in the UK & some other European countries, but just because DSN is doing great in the US doesn't mean it's gonna translate into album sales, that's a very different thing

I wish there were more people like me who don't give a f*ck about charts and numbers and just love music for the music. Same reason I'll never understand little postponers. Like, you really wanna wait another 6-9 months for new music so you can brag about first week numbers on Twitter? Children, I- :bradley: Aspire to me more like me, mmkay? Music not the bling. :vegas:

Sis, we wanna an era with promotion, with performances, with visuals, with roll out.
Not era like 10.04.20-10.04.20 :huntyga:

She did a promotion that Gaga never made after BTW for her singles/albums.
But she is not main pop girl in US.

Again, she didn’t do any album promo and only did DSN promo which can hardly compare with Gaga going to Letterman the day her album was released (he had one of the most popular shows) and then signing like 1000 CDs in a store for fun + like 50 radio interviews - heck she went to mexico just to promote the album.

Dua is staying at home 3-4 weeks and didn’t do ANY ALBUM PROMO.

Sis if you think Gaga's going to be able to do all that in 2020 you need to read the news. This is Miss Rona's year. :vegas: But if you're happy to wait till 2021, go right ahead and keep streaming The Fame until then. :billie:

But why does 5SOS did better than her? I thought 5SOS are irrelevant in 2020 lmao I guess they have strong fanbase in US I feel so bad for Dua I hope HDD is wrong and she debut at #1
